Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Resort

After passing on the hustle at the reception desk to get you buy a time share you are forgotten at this hotel. This place is drab with small remodeled 1960 rooms and no frills. The rooms are not clean, the closet is tiny, the staff unfriendly, and mail left at the front desk wasn't mailed until 4 days after receipt. The extra charge for the "resort fee" is nothing but a surcharge and has no value to the guest. When thinking about a place to stay in Orlando, avoid this place like the plague.

We recently stayed here for a convention being held in town. Upon arrival we were immediately set back by the rude staff before we ever got in the door. I travel a lot for business, and just expect common courtesy. This was not the case when the valet was incredibly rude and would not even let us stop to unload our bags and check in as soon as he found out we were not ready to valet our vehicle. It was not a busy night, and there were only a couple of other vehicles coming and going. We then checked in and preceded to ask if this was hotel policy as every other hotel I have stayed in at least let you unload your belongings...not park a half a mile away and then walk to check in. Upon checking in there were 3 other people waiting to speak with the manager on duty...this is never a good sign in my book. One guest was cancelling the remaining nights on her visit due tot he rude staff...the manager came up and did nothing to right the situation, didn't even say I'm sorry. It was poor customer service to say the least, and it continued the rest of the trip. I was very disappointed with this, I do not expect anything out of the ordinary...just being nice would be ok...however this was not what we expereinced. Was a very disappointing stay.

I had to come down here for a conference. I'm solo, in my twenties and this was perfect. For 80 bucks I feel like I'm living like a king. I think the people complaining brought their families. If your here for reasons other than going to Disney, and your not with a family, this is absolutely the place to go because its cheap and clean.

I visited Orlando for the 2012 National Association of Realtors Conference ans was two exits away from the Orange County Convention Center! I took me 15 - 20 minutes to commute but was easy to navigate. The Downtown Disney Marketplace, free of charge was excellent place to have a variety of meals and is next door to the hotel. Service at the hotel was top notch and the discount packages given by the concierge was welcomed.

The low-level buildings clearly show their age. The stairwells and elevators don't appear to have been modernized since 1970. The room exterior borders on the 'slightly-scary,' as the windows and doors look well-worn. Fortunately, the room interior was clean and neat with new furnishings and comfortable beds. The plumbing was decent and the bathroom remodeled adequately. I would have given a 4-star rating if only the maintenance staff had unclogged the bathtub as I had requested. They didn't. The off-season price makes this an acceptable choice hotel.

Very nice vacation - wonderful pool that is kid friendly. You could spend the day at the pool.

Everything was ok. There were three things: - Some noise at night: Children screaming, running, and high-volumen TV sets. - The $18.00 fee should be included in the total payment during the reservation. It looks like a hidden and suspicious cost. -There should be a complimentary breakfast.

We had a very nice stay. The pool area was very nice as were the rooms. Very convenient to downtown Disney.

Although I only stood one night and didn't get to experience everything this hotel has to offer due to the weather, it was a great experience. My son and I had the best sleep we have had in months. The location is great as we walked to Downtown Disney and back. We have already stated we will be coming back to this hotel.

I stayed there for one night for a conference and it was good.
