Stayed at the Wyndham this weekend with my wife. It was OK but a little run down and felt like a motor lodge. Location to Downtown Disney was great - only two blocks. Remember to budget for a nightly resort fee and parking fee when booking this hotel

Not real friendly or accomodating
Room was average and when we told them we were checking out early because the A/C had a horrible bang every time it came on (which was often) during the night they said oh, sorry.

our stay
the mattress was so out of shape usually the center is caved in in this case the head of the mattress was lower thna my feet should have requested another room but it was late at night when we discovered the problem

Do not do timeshare presentation unless you are really going to buy
High pressure sales tactics and defiantly not worth it. Hotels okay- a lot of money and hotel is older and not so nice anymore. Took a LONG time to get hot water

Hotel is in a great location for quick access to Downtown Disney. The staff was very nice. The Wyndham provides good service and is a good value.

OK stay
We expected to be in the 'Hotel' part as seen in the photo. Unfortunately we stayed in the 'motel' part. No closet space. Experience was OK

Do not be fooled by the four star rating
This was my ninth visit to the Walt Disney World resort. I decided to stay off Disney property at the Wyndham, after staying at another Wyndham location in Boca Raton, Florida earlier this year. Upon check in the staff at the front desk was not friendly or helpful. They will charge you to park your vehicle and for use of the shuttle that broke down. Also the rooms are small and dumpy. We were put in the side rooms that had outdoor entrances. I would never stay off Disney property again. The Wyndham was a complete and total rip off.

If you are going to visit Disney stay on property. It isn't worth it to stay elsewhere. You will be highly disappointed and ripped off.

Good place for Disney
Normal motel room, safe to put valuables in room was nice. Lake view was really pool view. Pool was nice. Was great for Disney, but maybe for Universal somewhere else would be better.

SUCKER FOR WYNDHAM
WYNDHAM LAKE BUENA VISTA
STAFF IS EXTREMELY HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY. AFTER SEEING SOMEONE'S PHOTOS OF THE "DIRTY ROOMS" ONLINE, EXPECTATIONS WERE NOT VERY HIGH. HOWEVER, ROOMS WERE CLEAN AND NEAT. (SMELLED A BIT LIKE BLEACH BUT THAT WEARS OFF WITHIN THE FIRST DAY) MADE GREAT USE OF FREE BUS SERVICE TO THE DIFFERENT DISNEY THEME PARKS. (ESPECIALLY WHEN CONSUMING ALCOHOL AT EPCOT, HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS & ANIMAL KINGDOM ALL DAY) OUTLET STORES, CHEAP EATS, AND A GROCERY STORE NEARBY. DOWNTOWN DISNEY PROVIDES LOTS OF ENTERTAINMENT AND IS ONLY ONE CROSSWALK AWAY. HAPPY TO REVISIT ONE DAY AND RECOMMEND TO EVERYONE.

DOWNTOWN DISNEY HAS A LOT TO OFFER BUT CAN BECOME EXPENSIVE. ACROSS THE ENTRANCE TO DISNEY WORLD IS A MARKETPLACE WITH SOME STANDARD CHAIN RESTAURANTS AND A GROCERY STORE. BUY WATER AND SNACKS AT THE GROCERY STORE/SUPERMARKET AND CHANGE UP DINING BY VISITING SOME OF THESE LESS EXPENSIVE RESTAURANTS. FLIPPERS PIZZA IS EXCELLENT!

morning coffee
the room service was spot on and our courtyard room let us enjoy our morning coffee outside. The staff were very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. The location was great and the transportation to the theme parks was nice. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will try to come back again next year.
