Overview
Disney's Swan Hotel is famed for its modern design and touch of elegance - the Florida hotel was designed by award-winning architect Michael Graves. Allow yourself to be transported to an island atmosphere - you can relax on the three-acre tropical landscape, complete with rock caves and cascading waterfalls, enjoy its white  beach, whirl pools and waterslide.

Take a break from the kids and send them to the fully supervised Camp Dolphin, leaving you time for pampering at the Balinese-themed Mandara Spa ? choose from a variety of treatments or the full-service hair and nail salon. Alternatively you could sip a cocktail or sample a gourmet snack from the Cabana Bar and Beach Club where the music keeps the scene lively.

Need to get some all-important business done at the Walt Disney World Swan during your break? There are also conference facilities with 84 meeting rooms for catching up on work, or you can gather for an informal meeting within the numerous banquet rooms.

Great place for couples

The Swan is kept up very well -- so, if you are looking for clean, this is a good choice. The restaurants within the Swan/Dolphin complex are outstanding and have great hours. I highly recommend the breakfast buffet at the Garden Grove restaurant in the Swan. Great easy walk right to Epcot and to the Boardwalk. Mini-golf course within walking distance. Shuttles were great to the parks. Long ride with many stops to Downtown Disney, however. The Business Center is not what we thought it would be. It costs money to even use a computer or printer at the Dolphin. The value for this resort was great -- they even gave us a $100 credit to anything in the gift shop or restaurants! You can just charge everything to your room.

it was magical!

Overall one of the best hotels I've stayed in. I travel a lot for work purposes so comfort and convenience is what I look for. The resort was beautiful and clean. Everyone was so nice and helpful and very friendly. I was even upgraded to a better room for no additional charge! This entire trip was amazing and one that my family will never forget.

We will do it differently next time.

The hotel was nice... nothing outstanding but a very nice atmosphere. The room cleaning staff was very helpful and accommodating to our schedule while we were there. The front desk staff were pleasant and helpful as was room service. Over all we thought it was a nice place to stay. Our biggest complaint was the inability to get to where we wanted to go without having to wait for buses. The hotel was good... the ability to get around was not very good at all. If one stays in a WDW hotel, one would expect not to have spend 45 minutes to get everywhere one wants to go. Wait for a bus... ride the bus to multiple destinations... wait in line for a boat... not enough room on the boat... wait for another boat... It was totally unacceptable given we were staying inside the park area. The Park Hopper option is really negated the way things are. We never experienced this problem staying at the Grand Floridian. Next time we will either return to the Grand Floridian or we will rent a car so we can get places in a reasonable time.

Disney Swan Hotel

The hotel is nice but the bathrooms are tiny. You have to squeeze around the toilet to get at the tub and the door takes any space you're not already standing in. Don't try and move around in it! Also they charge you $11 to park every day and a mandatory $12 plus tax for internet every day whether you use it or not, even if you don't have a computer, that's a rip off!

Relaxing Family Vacation

Close enough to walk to the Disney Boardwalk and Hollywood Studios. Quick shuttle boat to Epcot. Disney shuttle bus services to Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, and Downtown Disney readily available. Excellent beds and beautiful landscape all around. Only drawback was the cost of the food in the hotel and at Disney. We found the food on the Boardwalk to be better priced.

Time-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Walking to Hollywood Studios using the pathway along the back of the resort. You can also board the water ferry down on the Boardwalk and get to Epcot quicker than boarding the ferry at the Swan resort docking area.

Very nice hotel, great location, but...

Very comfortable hotel. Bedding is wonderful. Staff very friendly. Hotel has a good location between EPCOT and Disney Disney's Hollywood Studios. Here's the downside... it's not a Disney property. So, no Magical Express service, no Disney Cruise pickup service. We went with a town-car service... expensive but very timely.

Good, but be careful of fees

Room was average, bed was comfortable. Beware of added fees, like the resort package fee and parking.

Skip the onsite restaurants and go for Boardwalk/Yacht/Beach Club options, especially the Boardwalk Bakery which has more options at a cheaper price.

Very nice location.

The location was convenient. Not as many mid ranged restaurant choices, however, you can walk to the Dolphin for more choices. The transportation was great with the excception of the bus for Downtown Disney. Would suggest that they have more busses running there as that was a long wait and the bus was full at the first stop. Luckily the Swan was their first pick up stop. Found there is no rhyme or reason for prices for certain things within the hotel. Would suggest buying soda and water from the machine for 1.75 as opposed to 4.50 at the bar. Overall a very nice experience!

"Wonderful Resort"

My husband and I chose the Swan and Dolphin resort to be within walking distance of two of the Disney parks. The facilities are exceptionally well-kept, the staff is friendly and helpful and the variety of on-site restaurants offer something for everyone. We would not hesitate to select this resort again.
