Not what I expected.

Upon checking in I received room #9062 east tower So I proceed to my room only to find out my key would not work, called front desk they explained I was in room #9062 west, so off I go to the west tower only to find their isn't a 9062 west. Back on the phone only to find out that my room # is 9162 west tower, off again to room, key works but only to find that the room has not been made at all, dirty bathroom un made beds just dirty. Call front desk they were very sorry switched my room and gave an in house credit of $100.00. Still very disappointing coming from a starwoods property

Walt Disney Dolphin

We booked our hotel last minute - came for the Disney Marathon weekend - and were very pleasantly surprised. Our room was on one of the refurbished floors and was very nice. The only negative aspect would be that WI-FI is not included in the price... Had a wonderful meal at the Trattoria in the Swan Hotel next door :-)

Time-saving tip: Not Applicable

If staying for the Marathon Weekend, catch the bus to the race start early - lots of people park at the hotel and take the bus, so the line is horrendous! Or even better, just grab a taxi ;-)

Dolphin 12/27-12/31

We had never vacationed at the Dolphin before. From check-in to departure we had a wonderful experience. We arrived to the hotel (and a pretty busy front desk) at 11:15am not expecting to check in until later, but our room was ready. We were checked in and off to the room in approximately 10 minutes. The lobby was beautifully decorated for the holidays, staff was friendly & helpful and the room was well maintained. The room was near the elevator (literally on the other side of the wall to our room), but was quiet. We didn't have the noise others complained about on the message boards. The elevator was also the fastest we have ever seen. We never waited more than 20 seconds for it to arrive after pushing the button. The Dolphin is in a great location. Near Epcot, Hollywood Studios and the Disney Boardwalk. Would and will definitely stay here again.

Christmas Vacation

The balcony room is an added plus. Nice view. Service was good but got woken up because I was told someone called 911 from my room. Water in tub wasn't draining correctly. View was great! Room service was worth the price and found their pizza tasty and lower priced than other places at the park. The lobby was decorated quite well for the Christmas holiday with a large white tree in the center. The buses to the parks can take a bit longer than normal so plan accordingly. I recommend singing up for the spg loyalty program as they treat Gold and Platinum members a little bit better.

Missinformed

The hotel has a great location and service was good. however, I was missinformed about the Disney Extra Magic Hours. I specifically ask if this means a free entrance tickets to the parks and was answered affirmatively. I had a long waiting time at front desk and the attendant couldn't find the reservation.

Hotel Stay

When got to the hotel we were upgraded to a room with two balconies, unfortunately we found an unused nettle on the floor. When we let the staff know they apologized and added $150 to our room credit. While a nettle on the floor was not a good welcome they dealt with it quickly and apologized.
