Royal Plaza

The only reason we stayed here was to take advantage of the free shuttle service. The hotel itself was OK. The rooms are dated and in desperate need of renovation. Our room kind of smelled like a locker room. Hopefully they can get that smell out. Luckily we did not spend a lot of time in the room. The shuttle service is horrible. First of all, its standing room only on the bus. Not fun when you have kids and strollers that you need to carry yourself. Shuttle was on time, but takes about 30-40 minutes to get to the park with all the stops at the hotels. Huge crowd for bus at end of day. Very unimpressed. I will drive next time.

I was here only 2 nights on business, attending a conference at the Dolphin Hotel at Disney - a $15 cab ride away (before tip), as this hotel is not on the Disney bus circuit. The room was fine - clean, comfortable enough. The hotel bar was good enough and they had free Internet access. The TV was an older model with not a lot of stations available - fine for my purposes, not so good for kids or if you want to watch HBO and such, or even MSNBC. My only real complaint was the AC unit was really loud - I wound up shutting it off at night. With temps in the 60s that was OK - in warmer months, probably not so much.

I stayed @ this location a little over a year ago & stayed on the 4th floor. The room was large, the bathroom was huge & the beds were large/comfy, This time around when I booked this room I expected the same. But that wasnt the case. Our room was in the back of the hotel where it felt was the original hotel. Run down, old & dirty. In the defense of the hotel I called right away & they moved us into the tower on level 3, I just feel bad for those people that get the room & dont know that they have rooms way better for the same price. Also it was just me & my boyfriend in a room with 2 full size beds. Yes they were comfy but way to small.

The room was nothing special. There was mold on the window drapes. The bathroom looked new with fresh paint and new shower tiles. The gated parking lot was not working I had to get a hotel worker to open the gate. Several other customers had the same problem and this created a backup in the lot. I would not go back as there are lots of other hotels to try.

I had hoped to have a nice clean and comfortable stay for a one night training event I attended. However, I was disappointed in the quality of the hotel as far as cleanliness of the room I stayed in. Also, was not told that I would have an additional 'Resort Fee' to pay on arrival. I felt this was really taking advantage of the all inclusive price I had already paid. I did not attend the hotel for the Resort features. The really good thing about the stay was that the internet connectivity in the room could also be used in the lobby so I caught up on work while waiting for transport to the airport.

Well this hotel is definetlly not a 4 star, the rooms are outdated and smell to cigarrette, they look like 80's movie. Do not take the valet parking they want to charge u 16 dollar, and if u park urself it is for free. The rooms have a "FEE" of 18 dollars per day, they do that because you see a low price online then u rserve it, but when u have to pay, u see that "Additional Fee" and make this hotel too much expensive for what it is. The staff is acceptable. The breakfast is super expensive. I not recommend to go there for that money...

We had a wonderful stay at the Royal Plaza. The room was clean and spacious and we enjoyed the sofa sleeper. Housekeeping was Great! The staff at this hotel were very friendly. The Giraffe cafe is delicous too, we ate breakfast and dinner there. ( the steak is the best I have ever eaten ) The pool area was nice and clean as was the laundry facilities. I will definately return to this hotel!

Although the hotel is a bit outdated, the location and shuttle services made everything worthwhile, especially if your going to Orlando for the Disney experience. My room was clean, the shuttles running to and from the hotel were frequent, the staff did their job, and the price was right!
