Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside

spent most of time at parks, room was always clean when we got back. staff was very helpful, good choice of resturant and entertainment

stayed 4 nights with my 7 month pregnant wife and 16 month son. previously stayed at an All Star resort. This was well worth the difference from an All Star. pros: -big resort, but felt small due to the number of individual buildings. This also made a long walk between lobby & room. -several pools, playground, water activities that kept us busy when we weren't at parks. boat ride to downtown disney -pack n play was set up in our room when we got there., cons: -no elevators (only 2 stories though) so had to lug a stroller up & down every day. could be worse. -not on monorail, but you know that going in. -restaurant was not up to par with other Disney dining experiences. Absolutely would stay here again and definitely recommend this place. Even if your budget allows for a Polynesion stay, look at the Port Orleans.

I wasn't in the room too much. But when I wanted to use the Internet, the cable was poorly located. It's located behind the nightstand between the beds. It should be by the table. Just a minor inconvenience.

Charming grounds, convenient, restaurant had lots of choices, nice walking paths

We did request to be closer to the amenities and still had a lovely room with a river view. The boat trip to and from Disney Village made our shopping and dining very convenient. We enjoyed the theater Cirque Du Soleil and dinner at Portabello's."River Roost" [...] was the entertainer and superb for all ages. Kids and adults were dancing and singing along. Get an early seat in the lounge. The staff was both helpful and accomodating. Thank you for a wonderful birthday event.

excellent choice of hotel and accommodations. The only disappointment was that we specifically asked for hopper tickets and they restricted us to one park per day. We were meeting others and it restricted our plans. We had to rearrange our itiniary accordingly. [...]

I spend 70-100 nites per year in hotel rooms and normally don't write reviews, but this one deserves my special attention... The hotel simply did not live up to the website advertisement. Paid an extra 15 dollars for the water view and did not get any view at all. The maintenance people were out early with their air compressor - pressure washer waking everyone up and managed to pressure wash the sidewalk at the expense of getting all the cars parked in the front row full of wet grime (including ours). The bathroom was clean, but everything was motel six quality from the small towels to the little bottle of combo shampoo conditioner and there were sugar ants crawling all over the place. Paid a very premium price for a below average experience.

Very Good

Very small rooms, thank goodness only there for 2 nights. Major rip off at $150 a night was not impressed with hotel at all. But it was a very good location. Would not stay Riverside again.
