Good value for a good time

Would recommend Wed, Feb 16, 2011
The staff were always friendly and helpful. The one major issue we had was receiving our luggage. We used the Disney Transportation, checked our bags and arrived prior to 10pm. The literature states to allow 3 hours for luggage to be delivered to your hotel room. It took two phone calls to have it delivered by 1:30am. They also won't deliver luggage after midnight unless you tell them you want it. This hotel is also very large so expect A LOT of people. If you don't like crowds look for another place to stay.

Hotel is very nice, great location, parking close to your room was a problem. Be prepared to walk a distance to your room depending on where they place you on the compound

Money saver

Go to perkins restaurant to get great deals on disney and other attractions.

Room was clean but small. Cafe was crowded at times, food was typical Disney priced, but good. You have to pay for internet service. Need more Ice Machines. Take the bus to the parks, No charge for parking at hotel. Staff was polite.

Money saver

Take backpack to parks with snacks or drinks or pay the extra price at the parks.

Exceeded Expectations

Would recommend Sat, Feb 12, 2011
Looking for adventure, excitement,no down time and we found it. From the time we arrived til we left always had something to do. Theme parks galore, something for everyone, every age group. Shopping sightseeing, rides. Only thing missing was more choices (at hotel) for food. Caferteria style was the only option at the hotel. Compared to all our many vacation trips, this exceeded them all. Never a "dull" moment and always felt welcomed. Lots and lots of friendly faces and greetings. We have a "2000 things to do list" (started on our wedding day in 1966)and for 40 + years of our marriage and this one was 1,989. Only regret we have is that we waited so long to get to DisneyWorld.

Entertainment hint

Easy transportation to any type of entertainment. Bring good, confortable "walking shoes' or "sneakers

Disney vacation.

Would recommend Sun, Feb 6, 2011
Bed was fine, slept well [...]. Hotel was extremely busy, especially the food area, which is like a food court without boundaries. On Sunday morning we could not even eat inside due to no seating. Relatively clean, but more attention could have been shown to the room. The best thing was the bus service which was timely and frequent. A very big campus and if you forgot something in your room you defintiely didn't want to go back to get it.

Time saver

Even if you drive, the bus service from the Disney resort hotels to all the attractions and parks in Disney and back are extremely helpful-- a definite time and money saver, esp. for families. We never waited more then five minutes for them. Also, if you can be free and NOT take a bag into any of the parks, you will bypass all the bag check security and you will walk right in the park.

It was a hoot!

My wife and I had a ball, once we got out of a "Ritz-Carlton" mind-set and settled in for "where we were" --- a grand family spot with all the charm only Disney can provide. Rooms are SMALL! ... REALLY SMALL, but at a great price. Think CAMPING small. Room was clean with all the essentials, in a really cute, and beautiful setting. EVERYTHING is except the room was expensive. Internet access: $9.95 per day. On-site meals: VERY tasty, but equally expensive. But, anyone not expecting that combo hasn't been to many resorts. Pool is wonderful, guarded by none other than Yogi Bear. A lot of fun ... lots of giggles ... recommend if you leave that R-C mindset at home, and don't mind being without FoxNews.

Dining

Like all resorts, you are made to feel isolated and captive to resort dining. At this resort you are no more than 6 miles from a full array of local, and national dining experiences. If you can find Oceola and/or Bronson Blvd., you have it made to spend what you want. We ate breakfast only at the resort. Explored other options elsewhere in the city.
