Love the Outdoors!
We enjoyed our stay very much! The cabins were perfect! We rented a golf cart that was very much needed after many hours of walking in the parks. Next time we will plan our stay so that we can enjoy more time right in Fort Wilderness. A great getaway!!

Another Great Experience
Ft. Wilderness has become out favorite family destination. There's so much to do at the campgrounds that we didn't even make it to a Disney park this year! I would suggest that you reserve a golf cart if you'll be staying over the holidays.

Great onsite Disney for >4 people
Fitting our family of 5 into a regular hotel room is a pain in the rear. This "hotel" is a great way to stay onsite for larger families. sleeps 6 comfortably and there's enough room inside and out for everyone to relax. We've stayed at offsite suites but you have to give up the Disney touches. We've also stayed at Disney Vacation club suites but you have to give up your mortgage payment for the month. The wilderness cabins aren't exactly cheap but save you some money and allow you to still stay onsite comfortably.

Beautiful accommodations
Great service, from check-in process to departure. The front desk could not have been more gracious despite a very busy weekend. The cabins are actually just mobile homes with logs attached to look rustic, and that's as close to roughing it as we wanted to get. Comfortably sleeps 6, immaculately clean, with plenty of extra linens. Only snafu was our luggage was not delivered to our cabin as promised (our room was not ready when we arrived in the morning), but it was delivered quickly when I called at 2 a.m. after returning from the park. LOVE the extra park hours that come with staying at the resort!

Buy groceries before you get there: you have a full kitchen, and will want real food before and after long days racing around the parks eating fast food. The restaurants at the parks are packed, so make reservations early. The breakfast buffet at the campground is pricey but well worth the money. Great country style breakfast, all you can eat with drinks included.

Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campgr
The buffet at the Trail's End is awesome for breakfast or dinner! Definitely rent a golf cart, it makes getting around much easier no waiting or hiking. We will definitely go back just to stay at Fort Wilderness, it is a destination all by itself.

Nice Trip
We enjoyed the stay, and liked exploring, though we were forced to get golf cart, since there's really no parking, and the bus system is SLOW. We had two small kids with us, so if we wanted to get anywhere, we needed to rent one. Prices weren't too bad, but I didn't like that we HAD to get one. Maybe they could let you know that ahead of time, so you can budget it in, or pick a room near the action. Movie night was GREAT (but, bring your own s'mores stuff, and popcorn!)!

Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort - Cabins
The disney resort was outstanding and would visit again. No waiting for transportation to any of the disney theme parks. There is no direct bus transportation from the magic kingdom to the resort, and must take the boat or change buses to get back to the resort. Direct bus transportation was provided at the other theme parks. Also very limited fast food/take out availablity. Recommend rental of a golf cart for transporation throughtout the resort.

Good little spot for the family
Great little place for the family. Self contained with lots to do. Easy to get around in, but we had some difficulties finding it initially and the whole checking-in process took quite awhile, especially after a long ride getting there. Unlike other reviews, we found traveling around by bus to be very convenient. We specially asked for a cabin as close as possible to the bus stop, and that helped. Much of the area can also be walked as well. It has a walking path that keeps pedestrians off the roads. We only spent 2 nights there, but I suspect that anyone could easily spend a week there and not even have to visit the Disney theme parks.
