Great but pay Disney Tax
We stay at the Yacht Club each year and thoroughly enjoy our stay. It is conveniently located near Epcot and right across from the Boardwalk. You'll never find any Disney main property (parks / top hotels) that aren't kept absolutely pristine. The staff is always friendly and helpful. They have a exercise facility and great pools with a beach. You might have to go off property for a variety of mid-tier restaurants. As with most things Disney, they come at a premium (thus the Disney Tax comment). Yacht Club is especially proud of their water view rooms .. but what a view! Might cost more than the value but if you can get over that, you're guaranteed to have a great time!

Entertainment tip:
Short walk from hotel
Go to JellyRolls for dueling pianos and a great sing-along. They open around 8p and get really cranked up around 11. Arrive before 9p though or you won't find a good seat!

Nice, BUT
Hotel was nice, great location, but they were doing construction right outside our room. Could not sit on balcony with the construction workers only a few feet away, plus very noisy beginning in the morning. Then they placed their scaffold right on our balcony, had to request another room. New room, down the hall, was just as noisy but not obstructed with the scaffold.

Great location for Epcot
Yacht club is literally a 5-10 minute walk from Epcot, great location to access Epcot quickly. Probably the best thing was the pool; there's a 2 foot deep pool with a sandy bottom (our 3 year old love this). A lazy river where you can rent innertubes (fun for toddler and kids as well). And a larger pool. Room was pretty standard; not super luxurious but great service. We stayed at Grand Floridian and Animal Kingdom as well and of the three, the yacht club had the largest size room and was our favorite room. Overall, very happy with our stay here.

Could be more magical!
Overall, this is a nice hotel. Lobby is attractive, room had plenty of space and a balcony, and it's easy walking distance to Epcot. The yacht style fixtures were very attractive. However...housekeeping staff was less friendly than any Disney resort staff I've ever encountered, breakfast on the go options were extremely limited (and they charged me $2.29 for a cup of hot water--no tea, just the water!), and the duck poop in the pool is kind of an issue. I also had to ask twice to have the light bulb over the makeup mirror replaced, and there was another guest's trash in the trash can. The Beach Club or Wilderness Lodge would both be better choices.

first rate disney hotel
This hotel is one of the closest to Epcot and that is key because in the winter it is always the park open latest. The room was clean and had ample space. Bedding is excellent quality. My only complaints are not hotel specific but are Disney specific. They gouge you to death with extras. Parking is outrageous. In a premium hotel they still want 10.00/day for internet even in lobbies, etc. Thank goodness for 3g smartphones to check e-mail,etc.

It is quite expensive to eat anywhere and anything at Disney but all of the countries at Epcot have good food and it's an easy walk from the hotel.

The Disney hotel with all in one place
The Yacht Club has a wonderful water park, plenty of casual and elegant dining choices and best of all you can walk to both Epcot and Disney Studios which saves a lot of time and effort when park hopping.

Great Resort
I asked for an upgrade and received a water view room instead of the standard room. All we coud see from the standard room was an overgrown tree and part of a parking lot. With the water view we had a beautiful view of the Boardwalk and lake. There were roasted marshmallows and movies on the beach at night. Easy to get to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Really enjoyed the resort, but would get the water view room.
