Family Trip

The whole family loved the Polynesian. Can't beat a monorail hotel at Disney. We stayed during construction on the East Pool, but had no issues at all with the construction. Our building was Figi and it was well away from noise on the other side of the resort. Would definitely stay here again.

We have been to Walt Disney World more times than I can count. My family has been to the Polynesian for dinner, but never stayed. If we can afford it in the future, I'm not sure that we would stay anywhere else going forward. The location alone is an amazing time saver. Having stayed all around WDW, buses and boats are ok, but spending an hour or two on a bus or boat per day isn't value-added for me. At the Polynesian, the monorail is a 5 minute ride to Magic Kingdom. The Transportation and Ticket Center is a 5 minute walk and a 10 minute monorail ride to Epcot. I was really impressed with the amenities. The Volcano pool and Kiki Tiki's water play area was a huge hit with my 7-year old. I don't think that she would have left either willingly. From our room in Samoa to Captain Cook's was a 2-minute walk for mug refills and food. Trader Sam's is an absolute hoot (the staff do an amazing job). To top is all off, watching the Magic Kingdom fireworks from the beach is the perfect end to any day. I would highly recommend the Polynesian to anyone that could afford it.

awesome experience minus one rude bellhop

Awesome staff overall, amazing food, clean room, awesome transportation. There's tons to do on site and the pool is amazing. SO much good food, scratch that, stellar food! Steak to rival Chophouse 47 or Ruth Chris. One of my favorite resorts in the U.S. Little overpriced as far as room price especially with construction going on. But,it is Disney. You can get a much nicer room for price, especially if more than 3 people or so. But your paying for convenience and hospitality and its definitely up to par.

Winter Disney Trip

First time staying at Polynesian. We knew it was undergoing refurbishment and the main pool won't be available. That was ok with us since it's too cold to swim anyway. We enjoyed everything else about the hotel. Location was one of the reasons we wanted to stay there. Being so closed to Magic Kingdom allowed us to go back and forth between park and hotel in 15 minutes or less which was convenient with young kids. It was great for my 4y.o. son who loves to watch fireworks but not the sound since we were able to watch it from the boat dock and be back in our room within minutes for bed. Really enjoyed dining at O'hana and Kona Cafe. Dole whip at the hotel was a plus too instead of waiting in long lines in the park. Staff was helpful and wonderful. Would love to go back again when the new pool is finished.

Magical!

Stayed in September 2014. Place was undergoing renovations then, however was upgraded to the club level and forgot all about it. Excellent overall, only complaint is bed sheets are a bit paper thin but in fairness I didn't request anything extra.

Loved the Poly

It was a very nice stay. Construction still going on, but it was tolerable. Loved the location, convenience and the staff went above and beyond to be helpful and kind. Would love to return when construction is complete to see the finished product.

Hotel was being refurbished, but this didn't affect our stay. Our room was beautiful and very close to the Ceremonial House. We very much enjoyed the luau offered at the hotel.
