Watch animals grazing in their natural habitats, or take a quick tour through well-maintained conservation areas at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge in Orlando. Amazing creatures are right outside your window, so guests can see everything from zebras, giraffes, and gazelles to elegant pink flamingoes basking in the sunshine. Enjoy a range of African, Mediterranean, Indian and European cooking at one of the four restaurants attached to the lodge complex. Then dive into the pool or watch your kids squeal with delight, sliding down waterslides, clambering across the rope bridge, and playing in big (safely fake) Venus flytraps.

Awesome family trip!!

Our kids love animals so we specifically requested a room with the Arusha Savanna View - it was fabulous!! We could sit on our balcony and see zebras, giraffes, wildebeest... it was great. The staff was wonderful and the amenities were great. We did take advantage of the Club Level and it really paid off. The concierge helped us get last minute dining reservations in the park and the various food and drinks available throughout the day were fantastic. Overall it was a really magical visit!!

Great Vacation

We had a great time. Kids loved the pool and all the animals. Very fun experience. Only draw back is the location is a bit further from the other parks. I would recommend anyways!!

My 3 year old loved it!

Terrific! This was our 3rd year staying at the Animal Kingdom and we love it. The only draw back is you have to take the buses. Definitely going to stay again!

OK couple experience

My girlfriend and I decided to do a couples vacation. The Pros: The lobby of the hotel is gorgeous. The food was amazing, especially Sanaa restaurant. We splurged and got a savanna Arusha view and the view was great. Many zebras, giraffes, etc. But there are plenty of viewing areas in the hotel as well, so if you are on the fence and want to save a few bucks, you will not miss out. The hotel staff was extremely nice and helpful. For the cons: For the price, the rooms could've been much nicer. Our room was outdated with a bathroom that hasn't been remodeled in over 10 years. Not sure if the other rooms were the same. The beds were a bit on the hard side and no lush pillows. The pillows were the 10 dollar Walmart pillows that you replace every year. The pool wasn't as big as the pool at the beach club (where we had stayed the last few nights prior), and it was jammed with people. Only 2 hot tubs and they were both full every time we tried to get in, which was disappointing. Oh, and location of this resort vs other disney properties is a bit further from the parks. I enjoyed beach club where you can walk to Epcot or boat ride to Hollywood studios. From this hotel you can only bus places, which is a good 15 minute wait both directions. Overall this was a 3 out of 5 experience for us. There were good and bad but we still enjoyed ourselves overall.

Last Night @ Disney

This is probably our new favorite at Disney World. Amazing views of the animals, some of the best sit down restaurants on property, helpful staff, soaring lobby, beautiful pool. We'll be back.

Home away comfort

Having been to Disney over 2 dozen times, we've stayed at The Animal Kingdom lodge over 6 times now, the best place to stay for families with older children. BOMA breakfast is by far the best buffet in all of Disney. The rooms are a bit dated, but very comfortable and clean. Mara restaurant is perfect for late night dining after a long day at the Park. Bus transportation is frequent enough. Super fun for kids to see the animals roaming freely on the premises.
