Westgate Towers

Personal experience was not very pleasant for a representative of westgate continually called and came knocking on our studio door for us to attend a mandatory meetting (so she said) we where very bothered by her insistant attitude. We told her we paid to be there and we would appreciate if she not bother us any more.........., Will you please tell us if this is one of the requirements for staying at westgate. Westgate never once cleaned the room or changed the sheets no clean towels. We are very dissapointed for we stayed at westgate lakes and it was a very good experience we suggest you not recommend westlakes towers to anyone travelers beware................ Spent 8 days here on a Disney / Universal trip. Was great value for the money. Shuttles were OK, just needed to plan ahead and make sure you register to get a spot.

I would not recommend the effeceny room. we had trouble with the lights. Also, the shower door was very hard to open because of the small bathroom. If you like privacy in the shower this room is not for you, there is clear glass and wrap around mirrors in the shower. The shower is not in a seperate area.

A few reviews were negative so I wasn't sure what to expect, all I can say is you guys are way too picky. Westgate Towers was awesome. Very nice and helpful at the front desk upon my arrival, even upgraded me to my choice of a full kitchen with washer dryer or room with a hottub. I chose the full kitchen. Room was amazing, two double beds with pillow top mattresses and many pillows. Kitchen fully supplied, full fridge. Many bath towels and towels to use down by the pool. Because they have a spa, they supply you with awesome shampoo and conditioner from the spa as well as their soap. Shower pressure was great! Plenty of storage space in drawers and amoire for hanging clothes. People complained about it being outdated, it was not it was coral and turqoise colored because it is Florida. It was gorgeous. Large television, activities that you can partake in everyday (they call and tell you about them;bingo,movie night). You also have full acess to the other pools, paddle boat on the lake and putt putt golf. Because I was down there for business I did not get to do those. Very very quiet. Most were families, but I never saw anyone on my floor at all. Air conditioning was great as they were having record heat. Some mentioned there was no free internet access, yes there is. Maybe they have changed it. I could have had free full breakfast with a reservation but I had to leave for my work. My one and only complaint was that you do not get maid service daily. They come every three to four days. I did run out of bath towels and could never find anyone in the halls cleaning to get other towels. Because they give you dishsoap for the dishwasher and clothes soap for the washer and dryer, I just threw them into the washer- not a big deal. All in all I would stay here next time I came to Orlando. It is close to everything- Disney,shopping, restaurants and even an outlet mall. The grounds were just beautiful and there was security so coming in late and night and parking in the lot, I never once felt uncomfortable. I would stay there again without hesitation!

Very friendly, helpful, and informing staff! Our room was not as beautifully pictured on the website. Pool was nice. Very comfortable bed. You have to ask for room supplies and housekeeping.

Really couldn't beleive how nice this place was, great location, great price, clean, bright, everything you need for a stay. Staff was friendly. If the sounds of kids playing in the pool bothers you, you might have an issue, but after sun went down it got quiet.

We checked in on Saturday, the computers had been down so check in was a little slow, we finally got to our room and it was 90 degrees in the room, we set the AC on and left, when we came back at 7PM it was still 90 degrees in the room. We called maintenance for the problem and someone showed up said it was frozen and left to return in 1.5 hrs, after waiting until 10PM and three phone calls still no resolution, we got up the next morning to find we had no hot water and i called the front desk and talked to the Manager Marna, which apologized and was more than happy to move us to another room. the next two days were much better and found a very beautiful resort.

Hotel was fantastic! We stayed in a one bedroom condo that had two full bathrooms, a whirlpool tub, a fully equipped kitchen (cooking utensils and all), a kitchen table and four chairs, and a living room with a couch that folded into a bed. It was like an apartment for the price of a hotel room. The staff were all very friendly and the pools and grounds were very clean and nice. Close to Disney and Universal and very close to many restaurants and shops. We are planning on revisiting the next opportunity we get! Only downfall was they didn't have free wifi and it was expensive to purchase; hopefully they will change that soon.

Hotel was dirty when we arrived. We were not informed that the housekeeping was upon arrival but the did not clean our room until our 3 day (after holiday). Toilets were gross...
