The Ramada Gateway Kissimmee is a Walt Disney World Good Neighbor hotel that removes the hassle of Disney travel -- it sells tickets onsite and transports guests to the main gate. Value-priced, the no-frills property also extends other conveniences, including free Wi-Fi, a kids-eat-free deal at the Smokehouse Grill, two outdoor pools and a game room for the kids. In addition to Disney, several major attractions are nearby, from Universal Studios to SeaWorld.

Affordable
We were excited that the entrance and lobby were so nice, so we assumed the room would be too. It didn't smell of smoke which was a huge plus, and it was clean....but we had 3 roaches visit us at different times. If that wasn't a problem, we would visit again.

Just what we needed
Good location, great service. If you are going to Orlando you just need a clean and secure place to sleep. This hotel has that and more. I even saw Disneys fireworks from the hotel room. I would stay there again.

Location, location, location
Location is what this hotel has going for it. It's really in a great spot, situated very close to Disney's Animal Kingdom in particular (which is where we went). It is surrounded by restaurants and shopping. It's easy to find and easy to get to. Inside the rooms, it's pretty much average. Nothing special, but no complaints either. Neat and clean. Exactly how you want a hotel to be.

great service with the starff of the hotel,
very happy with the staff with the exception of the cafeteeria / restaurant staff, no experience at all the chef that was cooking on sund morning had to leave his post to help the waitress. the older lady stated she was unable to sit us to eat because all the utensils were dirty. this was the only neg of the hotel

Ugh Spend a few dollars more and get a nicer hotel
The beds are okay and its a place to sleep, thats about it. We had a compact fridge sitting on the floor of the room and it was leaking, so the carpet around it was soaked, had to step over that. the faucet was leaking and the cold water knob was SUPER GLUED to the base of the sink. I had to wash my face and hands in hot water. I would turn it on splash my face and then turn it off bc if you go longer than 30sec then the water would be scorhing hot! The shower was moldly. They had siliconed over some of the moldy areas too. The shower just "looked" dirty. I'd recommend this to a road warrior but not to a family staying close to one of the theme parks.

Relocating to Orlando.
I was relocating to Orlando and this hotel gave me the best value for my money as it was close to my new office and had everything I needed to relax and get ready for work. It has three dining options which were open till late and helped me very much with my busy schedule. Recommended for tourists too as it's close to all the Disney parks.

Family getaway
The room had an unpleasant smell everytime you came in. The bathroom sink faucet handles were broken. Telephone in the room was not working. Wifi not working.

Good value, but dated
I was at a conference at the Gaylord Palms, which is just down the road 10 minutes. But the rooms at the Gaylord were extraordinarily expensive. So I booked a room here, pre-paid, for a great price. It is very close to Disney World as well. There is nothing bad about the hotel, it is just quite dated. Probably built in the 60s or 70s and not updated since. There is a decent pool and workout facility.
