Changing rooms several times with forgetful staff

My first room was 1306 the aircondition was very loud unable to turn off, after turning button in off position. Maintance was called he was able to make the noise stop, at that time no air in room was able to use ceiling fan for air arrived at hotel after 11:00 pm had to open window from the outside myself to be able to check in as I stood outside. The next day maintance came back after 3:00 pm to fix air condition, air compressor was broken. Waited for staff to call to give us a new room, after waiting over 20 mins called front desk with no answer, walked over to front desk, staff states I forgot to call you back. Was able to get new room number 1113, we had to repack our clothes with 2 kids ages 6 and 7 along with the food we had brought. Also the first room blinds was dirty and missing parts which left the window with open area in the living room area in which the kids slept. We had a slight better room 1113 we spent one night in room 1113. After returning from Magic Kingdom at 1:00 am walked in to find 4 blowers in the living room with are stuff moved around , again front desk called to find out what going on. Front Desk states I don't know I work the 11-7 am shift but I'll find out. Staff did call back this time to say there was a leak from washer above us and we could stay there with leak or change rooms a again. 2 staff member came to help us move to room 1012 with 2 kids sleeping and raining. This time we was put into a room for someone if they owned a time share their. Which was agreat room on their try. We was also asked to come to a timeshare program. I told his if I wanted to buy a timeshare it wouldn't be this one, We also asked staff for extra towels we washed the ones we had because they never came back. This was a forgetful staff and if you don't own a timeshare you get a level 2 room. The grounds and pool was nice, but no I wouldn't stay there again.

Good value resort

The resort would have ben wonderful had we not already set our expectations. It was a nice place, especially for the value, but know before you go what room you are actually going to stay in!

very nice

We loved our room, loved the pool and jacuzzi. It had the best hours for the pool area. Opened at 8am and closed at 1am. That's AWESOME as most people return late from the days activities. We were able to go to the jacuzzi to end the day. Our bathtub wouldn't hold water, our dryer didn't work and the when I called for fresh towels, they entered our room though we were in it. That's wrong. If I'm there, they need to wait for me to open the door. It's a beautiful facility with lovely grounds. It's by no means upscale, just comfortable. I would recommend it and stay there again if the price were right as it was for this stay.

Great location

The Oak Plantation Villas Resort was in the perfect location, it was close to both the Airport and Walt Disney World. Our room was very spacious with two bedrooms, a full kitchen, and the best part a washer and dryer. The most impressive part was the maid service! After spending the whole day at the parks it was so nice to come back to a room that was clean, had extra towels, and all of the dishes washed and put away!!! My biggest complaint would be that there are no non-smoking rooms at this resort. I would highly advise you not staying here if anyone in your family has allergies! Also, the bedsheets were very dirty and stained, but the hotel staff was quick to take care of it. Overall it was a nice stay.

Great family hotel, close to many attractions!

The Oak Plantation Resort was a very nice place in a peaceful setting. It was very quiet at night. They had a nice breakfast buffet available at a reasonable price. The room we had was great for a week's stay with fridge washer and dryer, separate bedroom, and a small dining area, perfect! The pool area was beautiful and there was a nice hot tub. Everyone was friendly there and helpful. We had a great time. This place was also conveniently located near Disney, Sea World, and many other attractions. Restaurants and shopping were close by also. Would definitely stay here again.

Hotel staff not quick to respond

We rented 2 condos, one on top of the other. The top one leaked from the tub into the bottom and it took more than 12 hours to move us into a room that was water proof. Once we were in the new room the stay was nice. There is not much to do on the grounds so plan on going out someplace for fun. The movie night was OK, but the game room and internet cafe are lowsey and over priced. The grounds could be pretty but the staff doesn't clean up leaves, trash, or debris so it looks a little trashy. The staff tries to get you to go through a 90 minute seminar on buying a timeshare, it's not worth the time or the money needed to purchase a flimsy built condo. One very bad thing is, if your a lite sleeper, don't stay here because the planes are landing within 1 mile and the noise is very jetty all evening and night long.

Comfort

Rooms were a good size, bathrooms were clean. Lots of storage. Decent sized kitchen. Not too many utensils, but fine for us since we only intended to eat breakfast there. Overall, a good place for a family to stay. Very nice pool area.

Great place to stay

The Oak Plantation Villas was a nice place, our room was clean and very comfortable. It was decorated so bright and cheery. The pool area was attractive and the gounds were clean. We enjoyed the pretty peacocks that were out every morning! The location was great, plenty of restaurants close by. Disney World was easy to get to, as well as the airport. We completely enjoyed our stay at the Oak Plantation and will send our friends and family there. We did not have children with us, but noticed many families with young children and there is a very nice pool for the kids and lots of activities. We will be back.
