A taste of Polynesia in Orlando tropical condominium complex

Acres of lush landscaping and a watery wonderland -- the Liki Tiki Lagoon -- equate gold to families in search of sun, surf and theme parks. The popular 220,000-gallon water park is a worthy attraction at the 658-condominium Liki Tiki Village when guests are planning off time from Disney World, Universal Studios and SeaWorld. Condominiums are available in one-, two- and three-bedroom layouts, and allow guests to live comfortably thanks to full kitchens, washers and dryers and separate living and dining areas.

Highlights
  • Liki Tiki Lagoon, a 1.5-acre water park with slides, erupting volcano, wave pool, spouting tiki heads and a dancing fountain
  • Camp for kids
  • Picnic area
  • Mini-golf and tennis courts
  • Shipwreck Sally's Bar and Grill
Rooms

Fully furnished one-, two- and three-bedroom condominiums treat guests to residential amenities such as a full kitchen, living and dining area, and washer and dryer at the Liki Tiki Village. Layouts vary and can accommodate four, six and 10 guests respectively. Nature prints, watercolor beach scenes and wicker furniture support the overall tropical theme.

Features

Without a doubt, the Liki Tiki Lagoon is the main draw at the Liki Tiki Village. The feature rivals water parks in the area, with five slides, an erupting volcano, spouting tiki heads, a dancing fountain and toddler area. Straw-covered huts connect -- literally -- via a bridge over water. An oversized squirting octopus livens up the kiddie pool. When it is time for entertainment on dry land, move the whole family to the mini-golf course, tennis courts or game room. Shipwreck Sally's Bar and Grill and a separate picnic area switch up the dining-out routine.

Great Location! Great for Kids!!

We have stayed at this location several times. Most stays are great. The beds are consistently uncomfortable, but the space is awesome. We like the 2 bedroom condo for the space & fantastic tub. At this visit, the master bedroom bed had a stained comforter. The beds are made with two fitted sheets, so the one wrapped around the mattress comes off very easily-a real pain. Kitchen floor was dirty. Front desk service was a little slow due to them having to take phone calls and see people face to face. The continental breakfast was just that. Juice & Doughnuts. Even a little cereal would have been nice. The pool around the 600 building stays open till midnight, which is great...only people leave their kids there to scream at the top of their lungs. The Lagoon is fantastic. Kids and adults love it. The restaurant is okay. Fishing is only open from 11am-8pm, not so good for fishing in the heat of the day. Advertisements show bumper boats, which are no longer available. Playground is very nice. The grounds are cared for properly. Very fast response on requests. Gift shop is adequate for quick stops and Publix is right around the corner. Excellent location on the best side of 192. Alot easier to get onto the road and very close to shopping and parks.

Fantastic family getaway

My children are 5&7, they had a great time @ the Liki Tiki water park. We went to Disney parks& cabs are expensive , the bus was long but cheap, & the shuttle was $14 a person. We had a great time @ the Liki Tiki.

Great amenities, Filthy carpet

The kids had a great time with all the amenities that were available. The atmosphere was very relaxing; however, I did not feel that the staff was friendly at all. The carpet in the villa was FILTHY!! Our feet were black within minutes of taking a shower. You could not be barefoot in the room! Our experience checking in was not the most pleasant. The information for our check in had not been sent to the location from their corporate office. The staff was very matter of fact about the situation and not at all concerned that we had to wait about 30 minutes for them to get it straightened out. I was a bit concerned because we had a PAID reservation on the grounds but they had no record of it, so if it was a busy time of year what would have happened if there were no rooms available. Definitely a lack of communication between their corporate office and the facility. Needs improvement.

Great Value

Check-in took awhile. Wasn't able to get next door to family like they told us on the phone weeks before. Great value through. Full kitchen and dining room to enjoy BBQ's and family meals. Pool was great for kids while parents sipped on Pina Coladas. Very roomy. Staff was there to organize events and suggest off resort activities. It killed me not to have WiFi.

Second Stay Here

Great price but be aware this is a timeshare. You do not have to hear the speech but they compensate you in tickets or cash if you do.

Great family vacation spot!

Very fun, relaxing and clean for families and groups. Some reviews were really bad but we decided to go anyways. Well, we had a lot of fun. The pool is great and there are many activities to entertain children which were a plus for us. Yes the room needs a bit of updating (1980 style) but it was clean and functional. I think they had changed the carpet recently because it looked new. We were on the ground floor and had a beautiful view of the lagoon. As soon as we would open the curtains, ducks would come up to the windows and eat out of our hands. We had a Harbor Pass that gave us access to all the sites activities like paddle boats, fishing, bike rides and more. We got this pass for free since we were staying 7 days. The staff was very nice and helpful in finding activities to do. The most negative issue we have is that the front room was extremely noisy and the beds are uncomfortable. We were right next to the A/C units and they would wake us up at night. As for the sofa bed, well... my spouse actually sunk in the first night he slept in it with our daughter. We had to put the mattress directly on the floor for it to be comfortable but this was inconvenient... One last issue is that on the morning day before our departure, my kids shouted out "mommy there's a bug!" To my shock...it was a cockroach!!! a large cockroach! I called the front desk immediately a little panicked as this had never happened to me before. They blamed this situation on the Florida tropical weather and the fact that I was on the ground floor. They did send pest control quickly and offered a full maintenance clean up. I do not know what to think about this because we did not see any the days before or after and the place was spotless. Yes we did leave the patio door open at some time so it is possible that this may have cause it to come in but I thought I should say something. I would go again because this was minor compared to the fun we had on site. I would recommend going in groups because the pool and bar is so much fun but ask to be far from the A/C units!!
