A taste of Polynesia in Orlando tropical condominium complex

Acres of lush landscaping and a watery wonderland -- the Liki Tiki Lagoon -- equate gold to families in search of sun, surf and theme parks. The popular 220,000-gallon water park is a worthy attraction at the 658-condominium Liki Tiki Village when guests are planning off time from Disney World, Universal Studios and SeaWorld. Condominiums are available in one-, two- and three-bedroom layouts, and allow guests to live comfortably thanks to full kitchens, washers and dryers and separate living and dining areas.

Highlights
  • Liki Tiki Lagoon, a 1.5-acre water park with slides, erupting volcano, wave pool, spouting tiki heads and a dancing fountain
  • Camp for kids
  • Picnic area
  • Mini-golf and tennis courts
  • Shipwreck Sally's Bar and Grill
Rooms

Fully furnished one-, two- and three-bedroom condominiums treat guests to residential amenities such as a full kitchen, living and dining area, and washer and dryer at the Liki Tiki Village. Layouts vary and can accommodate four, six and 10 guests respectively. Nature prints, watercolor beach scenes and wicker furniture support the overall tropical theme.

Features

Without a doubt, the Liki Tiki Lagoon is the main draw at the Liki Tiki Village. The feature rivals water parks in the area, with five slides, an erupting volcano, spouting tiki heads, a dancing fountain and toddler area. Straw-covered huts connect -- literally -- via a bridge over water. An oversized squirting octopus livens up the kiddie pool. When it is time for entertainment on dry land, move the whole family to the mini-golf course, tennis courts or game room. Shipwreck Sally's Bar and Grill and a separate picnic area switch up the dining-out routine.

Liki Tiki Stay

We have stayed at this place 2 other times and we have enjoyed it each time. I have 2 small boys and the fun never stops. The on-site water park is amazing accompanied by the "Family Fun" nights they provide inside the main Lodge each night. The staff is ALWAYS friendly and they always say hi no matter what they are doing. When we checked in this time we actually went back to the front desk to see if they could accomidate us in another way with another room, but they were so busy they didn't have any rooms available. They tried their best and were very apologetic about not being able to find another room. There was nothing wrong with our room, we just were looking for a one floor condo instead of a 2 floor townhouse style. Overall I loved it once again, and I would go back for sure. It's the only place on my list of places to stay in Kissimmee!

Could be much better

Great location to Disney and all parks. Resort looks nice when u pull in... But staff is very unprofessional in appearance and service. None of the activities during the day actually ever happen. No one at the resort cares. Everything costs extra money... They nickle and dime everything. U have to pay $30 to $50 to have room cleaned. You have to clean ur own towels and beach towels. There are no screens on porch... Positives.. Location and price. I would not go back.

Waterpark

Good water park, not Wet & Wild, but it's free. Better then just plain, square pool. Pool bar is open during day time and serves drinks(OK) and food(Yakee). If they put you in buildings 800 or 900, its outdated buildings and need renovation, ask 1300 or 1400, newer buildings, cleaner. Quite far from Universal, Ok for Disney. Overall( because of the park) is better, then just regular, average hotel.

Great Vacation

Liki Tiki Village is a great place to stay. We were a little disappointed with the first condo we got. We arrived in the middle of the night and was given a condo that wasn't exactly what we expected. It didn't have a dishwasher or whirlpool tub, but was OK. After three days there we asked if we could get a different condo and this condo was just great. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We liked Liki Tiki so much that we bought a timeshare there. I would recommend Liki Tiki to anyone.

Entertainment tip: Short drive from hotel

Go to Old Town in Kissimmee on Saturday night. There is an antique auto contest and live music to dance to. It is a very popular place to be on Saturday night. People from babies to older folks and all nationalities come to Old Town on Saturday night. We had a blast.

Great Vacation Resort

Our family stayed at Liki Tiki from April 21 - May 5, 2012. We loved our stay here. The accomadations were very spacious with a large living room, bathroom and kitchen and bedroom. While the room was very clean it was a little dated; there were newer kitchen applicances however and the bed was new and super comfortable. The room had a spacious balconey with a patio table and chairs. We beleive the amount of money we paid for the room and amenities was of excellent value. The resort has buildings with varying ages and the one we stayed in (building 400) was one of the older ones. If we wanted we could have paid more and booked a newer room but the room 421A was still very good and we don't see the point in wasting money for perfection. The amenities at the resort were great, and are appropriately represented on the Liki Tiki website. Aside from the water park area there are pools/hot tubs/excercise rooms strategically placed throughout the resort for easy access from your room. The water park is open from (i think) 10 AM to 7 PM with the other pools/hot tubs areas open from 7 AM to midnight. We all including our 6 year old had plently to do and had a great time at the resort during our "days off" from the Theme Parks. The staff was very good and there to ensure your experience was good. The location was not central but located at the far west end of US 192 (Irlo Bronson Highway). It was very close to the disney parks but Universal and Seaworld were a little further away but not too far to discorage anyone from staying here. There are hundreds of restaurants, Walmart, pharmacies and grocery stores within minutes of the resort. We would definitely return!
