A taste of Polynesia in Orlando tropical condominium complex

Acres of lush landscaping and a watery wonderland -- the Liki Tiki Lagoon -- equate gold to families in search of sun, surf and theme parks. The popular 220,000-gallon water park is a worthy attraction at the 658-condominium Liki Tiki Village when guests are planning off time from Disney World, Universal Studios and SeaWorld. Condominiums are available in one-, two- and three-bedroom layouts, and allow guests to live comfortably thanks to full kitchens, washers and dryers and separate living and dining areas.

Highlights
  • Liki Tiki Lagoon, a 1.5-acre water park with slides, erupting volcano, wave pool, spouting tiki heads and a dancing fountain
  • Camp for kids
  • Picnic area
  • Mini-golf and tennis courts
  • Shipwreck Sally's Bar and Grill
Rooms

Fully furnished one-, two- and three-bedroom condominiums treat guests to residential amenities such as a full kitchen, living and dining area, and washer and dryer at the Liki Tiki Village. Layouts vary and can accommodate four, six and 10 guests respectively. Nature prints, watercolor beach scenes and wicker furniture support the overall tropical theme.

Features

Without a doubt, the Liki Tiki Lagoon is the main draw at the Liki Tiki Village. The feature rivals water parks in the area, with five slides, an erupting volcano, spouting tiki heads, a dancing fountain and toddler area. Straw-covered huts connect -- literally -- via a bridge over water. An oversized squirting octopus livens up the kiddie pool. When it is time for entertainment on dry land, move the whole family to the mini-golf course, tennis courts or game room. Shipwreck Sally's Bar and Grill and a separate picnic area switch up the dining-out routine.

Lovely week at Disneyworld

Liki Tiki is a great place to stay with kids while visiting Disney World...it is close to all the attractions...lots of shops; dining options are countless. Their heated pool and spa, water park and mini golf, tennis courts and bikes are perfect for a 'day off' from the parks. Good value for money and the rooms are very comfortable. Only downside is their push for timeshare-they make it very worthwhile attending a timeshare talk..you get large discounts off park tickets...but the appointments take longer than the promised 1.5 hours-so that took up precious family time. The onsite shop is very useful, and we were happy to be given a free family portrait!

Never again!

Garbage piled by room door. I listened to the sales pitch for time share. Recieved tickets to a dinner that was cheezy and over booked. It took 3 hours for refund..At check out they loaded on extra charges for services.........Never Again!!!!

florida getaway

the location of this resort is good for the theme parks. shopping is close by as well as numerous restaurants. the condo was spacious and allowed us to cook our own meals which was a real money saver. the bedroom was comfortable, but the sofa bed was not. if you have more than two people i would get a two bedroom.

Nice priced getaway for New Years

Everything was a little better than expected. The room was nice and clean. Comfortable! Only complaint would be the entrances to the condo's. At night with no lights in a very bushy area does not prove to be the safest. Besides that, it was a nice getaway.

This is a great hotel, just far enough away from all the hectic traffic, noise, and busy citylife. It's literally 10-15 mins away from everything downtown orlando/Disney.

Comfy

Was a good place to stay. Had a full kitchen which was a plus. We didn't use it as much as I would've liked but was good to know we had that option. Nice and friendly staff.

Great for Everyone

We stayed at the resort most of the time. Drove to other cities to visit friends & sight see new developments in the surrounding area. At the resort we used their two seater bikes and did a little minature golf, all free. They also had paddle boats, but after the bike ride, we were too tired to try the boats. We used the resort to do a little resting, getting away from our stressful life at home.

Decent

We requested to be put in the newer building (after reading reviews) and to be on the first floor b/c I am traveling with 3 kids under age 5, I was told on the phone it shouldn't be a problem b/c October is not the busy season. Instead we were put on the 4th floor and in the older building. Check in is at 4, we arrived at 3:40 and were told they would call us b/c the room wasn't ready. At 4:15 we went back into check if it was ready b/c we didn't receive a call yet and the clerk said "Oh yeah, forgot to call ya guys". The room was so outdated, the carpets were disgusting so stained and dirty looking, cracks in the ceilings, the window locks were broke. The room needs repairs and an upgrade. We killed lots of bugs (beetles) in the bedroom. We thankfully didn't see roaches in our room b/c I would of slept in the car but there were roaches where the garbage shoot is. The pools outside were awesome for the kids, they could have been heated a little more but overall they were great. The bar shipwreck sallys had reasonable prices but the bartender was rude. Everyone that works in Liki Tiki seems to hate their job and they make you feel as if your bothering them. We use to stay at the Marriott Grande Vista and we are considering buying timeshare since we have 3 kids. Before we purchase timeshare we wanted to try another resort a little more economical and wanted to try some place new. So with that said we will be staying next year at Marriott and purchasing timeshare with Marriott. Liki Tiki is just decent, it wasn't a total dump but if your looking for cleanliness and good friendly customer service than Liki Tiki is NOT for you.

Vacation Getaway

My wife went swimming at the Liki Tiki waterpark. That was fun. Better than just a regular swimming pool. My wife and I rode the 2 seater bike. Listened to the DJ at the waterpark on Friday night. I like that you don't have to pay to ride the bikes or play minature golf. Only Complaint is the Internet connection was not very good. You could have better Internet connection.

Walt Disney Parks are close by. Besides just the parks you have to pay for there are a lot of places you can go to to walk around that are free. Such as Pleasure Island and Downtown Disney. Downtown Disney has lots of restaurants and shops. They have the Rainforrest Cafe and T-rex Cafe. Downtown Disney has music and entertainment at night, and you can ride a boat for free that takes you to many other places where you can shop and walk around, such as Pleasure Island and Epcot Disney Resort.

Great family vacation

We just returned from a wonderful vacation and stayed at LIKI TIKI. Rooms were clean and the pools were great. My grandchildren enjoyed the pools with all the slides. The lady who did our pictures was great. Quick and no pressure. Good location to the parks. Farthest away was LEGOLAND. Great value for the money. Would definitely recommend to others.
