Welcome to the Howard Johnson Inn Tropical Palms/Kissimmee. Fantastic hotel for the budget-conscious traveler, nestled among tropical palms, luscious tropical plants and 100 year old oak trees. Set back from busy Highway 192, in the heart of Kissimmees hotel corridor, offering convenience of location in peaceful surroundings. 3 story Main building with elevator, second building is 2 story walk-up. Exterior corridors. Both have comfortable standard guestrooms featuring either 2 double beds, one king bed, or one queen bed in handicap accessible rooms only. Scheduled shuttle to Disney, Universal and SeaWorld Wireless High Speed Internet and Internet Kiosks in the lobby. Hot breakfast available for a charge. Parking, bus and RV, available Large, heated swimming pool with separate kiddie pool Coin laundry on site, Game Room, Picnic area with grills All rooms feature in-room coffee, hair dryers, irons and boards. The majority of rooms have micro fridges. Cable TV with 3 HBO channels. Cribs available, rollaways 10.00 per night. All rooms have in-room safes. Sorry, no pets. Note: The hotel charges a fee of $4.82 per room per night which includes shuttle service to theme parks, in-room safes, and unlimited use of our high speed Internet kiosks in the lobby.

served my needs

All I wanted was a room for cheap. The rooms need updating badly, but: a/c worked fine, plenty of hot water, clean towels. Mattress was very saggy, and phone didn't work.

It's Ok

You get exactly what you pay for. There is free shuttle to the parks, which is good, but it made other stops to other hotels which took an hour and a half. I dint spend a lot of time at the hotel, unless I was enjoying the pool. If you are looking for some one where cheap, it's an ok place.

Medieval Times are nearby, and Wal-Mart, and this cool helicopter ride for 20 bucks

There was duck tape covering up holes in the sheets on my bed!

The staff could not speak English when I needed something unless I went to the front desk. There was duck tape covering holes in the sheet on my bed. Put us on second floor when I requested first floor due to my hip problems. Air conditioner did not work properly and was not working for most of our stay. Only one of the four lamps in our room worked! Blinds would not close all the way due to the top part was bent back from where it was supposed to end. I was happy there was a 24 hr steak and shake in front of hotel, so there was always food near by. There was a walmart right across the street, which was awesome. Medieval Times was right across the street as well, was awesome. The front desk people were very nice, but it was very sad that I had to go all the way to them to get information I needed when I passed 3 other staff members on the way there.

Go to Medieval Times right across the street. Very good show that is worth the money.

BAD HOTEL

AUGUST THE 15TH WAS MY BIRTHDAY I EXPECTED A GREAT TIME ON THAT DAY. IT TURNED OUT TO BE THE WORST EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE, THE HOTEL WAS IN A VERY BAD LOCATION, UNCLEAN, THE ROOM CAME WITH OUT REFRIGERATOR, MICROWAVE AND NO TOWELS. THE ENVIRONMENT IS SO BAD I WAS AFRAID OF GETTING OUT OF MY ROOM THE WHOLE TIME I WAS THERE. I WISHED TO GO BACK HOME BUT I KNEW IT WOULD NOT BE REFUNDABLE. I WISH NEVER TO HAVE A SUCH BAD EXPERIENCE AGAIN.

Florida Trip

In Florida to see the Space Shuttle Launch. Hotel was OK. It is an older facility that is showing some age and wear. But the room was clean and the a/c worked well. Front desk was helpful and courteous. On the last night a loud party continued until 4 a.m.

It is a ok for price.

First impression was scary. Turned out the hotel was not as bad as my first impression. you get what you pay for. The only complaint is the road to get to the hotel was in bad shape and that made hotel not look presentable.

A good hotel

Our stay was fine. Its not a spectacular hotel, you get what you pay for. The only complaint is the road to get to the hotel was in bad shape and that made hotel not look presentable. There was plenty of things to do around the area. The location was very convenient, especially if you have kids.
