Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites ORLANDO-LAKE BUENA VISTA EAST

Decently run hotel, but the property has a physical flaw that you should be aware of. The rooms have no sound insulation between them or between floors. When we arrived we were given a first floor room. Upon entering the room, we noticed that someone was pacing upstairs, loudly. We decided to ask for a top floor room and were accomodated. During the remainder of our stay I often heard the TV or conversations in the next room. One night, I even heard the occupant snoring.

We were there to visit the Theme parks in Orlando and also to do some shopping. So the hotel was well located if we consider these two activities! The front desk people were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast could be a little better, not too many choices, but for the price, that's OK!

I enjoy their morning complementary breakfast and their local stores such as Walmart. The bathroom should be better cleaned & walls in bathroom need a painting job. Rusty pipes were not pleasant to see either.

Nothing bad to say about the hotel except some of clientelle were loud at night and the breakfast area wasnt always well stocked in the morning.

Very enjoyable stay. Nice clean rooms. Great breakfast except that the bacon ran out each of the three days I ate breakfast! More frequency in the shuttle service to the Disney World parks would have made the location of the hotel perfect. Kids loved the pool.

Most of the places aren't far from the hotel. It was really awesome.

Our stay was ok, but we had two things that were bothersome. One is that there were no television stations except the weather channel and Showtime.There was no warning about this prior to our stay and no one could come up with why it wasn't working or when it would be working. We couldn't even get the news while we were away.Also[...] when we arrived they wanted a credit card in case of additional charges. This was not a problem, but I couldn't get a receipt from them showing a zero balance on my credit card that I gave them. I was disappointed that they couldn't give me a clear answer as to why.Finally, on our floor, there was a significant wasp nest right outside the window next to the elevator. We mentioned it several times at the front desk, but apparently they were not able to take care of it. It was just a little strange to see these every time we left the hotel.

The staff was very helpful and nice.Nice and very clean hotel. Fresh and hot breakfast every morning. The Staff went extra mile to help

I chose this hotel because it had good reviews and appeared to provide good value for the money. I think we got what we paid for, but definitely needed transportation to get around, which I had not anticipated. There is definately a better way for the breakfast buffet to be organized to avoid the daily lines. We got smart after the second day and went straight to coffee area and then worked our way backwards through the line - it felt like we were pushing in, but it was more efficient that the set-up that they had. Would have loved to have had more fruit selection available. It was a pity that most of the local businesses that we could have walked to to eat at were closed down.
