Tropical resort boasts 12-acre water park near Disney's backyard
The Holiday Inn Club Vacations at Orange Lake boasts 1,400 acres of land, four golf courses, a 12-acre water park, seven pools and 10 restaurants. Those figures only scratch the surface, however. With all the family-friendly amenities onsite -- including a kid's club and playground -- it makes sense that visitors plan extended vacations here. Residential conveniences like full kitchens and dining and living rooms elevate the comfort. Minimum check in age is 21.

could be great hotel
great hotel amenities everything you could ask for,great to come back to after a long day at the parks or just to take a day off,but unnfortunatley the standard double room we had for 1 week wasn't up to "standard". the room was small,dark and no balcony and no cleaner came to our room all week,this could be a great hotel but be careful what accomodation you choose.

Fun to be young again vacation getaway!
My husband & I wanted to enjoy acting like kids again & hit the amusement parks in Orlando, Fl and we decided to stay @ the Holiday Inn Club Vacations @ Orange Lake because it was close to the major amusement parks & not far from the airboat rides across the everglades. The only thing we didn"t like @ the resort was after we checked in, the staff was trying too hard to push us into buying a timeshare there, which we did not buy! .

Nice but nothing extraordinary
My family and I booked three different rooms at the resort to have a vacation. We all live in different corners of the US. We called in advance to make sure our rooms are close together. When we get to the resort all our rooms are nowhere close together. One of the rooms was over a mile away. We made a complaint to get them closer but no one cared or did anything about it. They told us a mile is not that far. Luckily, we had a vehicle but a real pain. Other that the complete lack of respect for our requests the resort was decent. Over priced food and drink but typical for a resort. Good family resort but anything you want to do on the resort will cost you extra. And yes it is true, the timeshare people are on the attack immediately. Tell them you already have free tickets from a friend and they will leave you alone.

Unique and wonderful family experience
We enjoyed every moment of our stay at this resort. Everything to make your stay is within a five minute drive. We had space to roam about (important with a 3 and 6 year old) and felt right at home. We most definitely will return.

Disney is a major attraction, you don't have to get on Interstate 4, but you must pay attention to how to return to Hwy 192 West. I got turned around twice because you must take the exit that says192 East before it actually branches off onto Hwy 192 west exit.

Good Value
We felt this was a great value for a quick weekend getaway. The hotel had some great facilities but didn't offer much in the way of guest services. Housekeeping never visited our room even though we were there for 3 days. Because we checked in late they stuck us in the least desirable room- no view and next to the air conditioner units (noise). Also, it is a time share and the activities in the lobby selling the timeshare services were pretty intense. Because we booked online, we were largely ignored by all this activity. We didn't mind. They do charge additional $ for some of the fun activities, like renting a tube to go on the "lazy river" at the pool. For the most part we enjoyed it and felt we got a good value.

lovely resort
