The Gaylord Palms epitomizes Florida grandeur. The sprawling resort pays homage to the various regions of the state, from breezy Key West to old-world St. Augustine. Four and a half acres of themed experiences under glass walk guests through theme park-like exhibits filled with lush foliage and architecture that capture the identity of the featured area. Rooms complement the style of each wing. Amenities tend to every need, whether it is scheduled transportation to Walt Disney World or babysitting services.

Rooms

Lining the perimeter of four themed atriums, the 1,406 rooms of the Gaylord Palms are designed to mimic Key West, the Everglades, St. Augustine and Emerald Bay. Spaces wow with striped cabana fabrics, Spanish and Mission-style furniture and rich woods. Amenities aim for extra pampering, from glass-enclosed, walk-in showers to lighted magnifying makeup and shaving mirrors. Balconies encourage guests to take in the circus-like views below.

Property features

If the massive boat "docked" in the Key West Atrium does not grab the attention of Gaylord Palms guests, then the live alligator feedings and oversized octopus fountain in Clearwater Cove will. Relache Spa, a 20,000-square-foot oasis, pampers visitors from head to toe with an extensive menu of massages, facials, body treatments and nail and hair services. The spa is also home to a 4,000-square-foot fitness center equipped with cardiovascular machines and Smith Press System.

always coming back

This was our third stay here, and it never disappoints. It was very crowded at the pool due to a convention, but other than that its usually a nice quiet place.

Great Deal

Finding the hotel was rather easy and the check in process was easy as well. Once we got checked in we went right to our room and hung out for the rest of the night. It was comfortable and pretty clean. Would recommend staying there again.

Wonderful weekend getaway!

Celebrated my granddaughter's birthday at the Gaylord Palms. Took her so she could enjoy a weekend getaway and play at the pool. Wow! We all had a great time. Great hotel, lots to do and explore, the pool was perfect for her and 2 year old sister. Many dining options, shops...didn't need to leave resort. The room was very clean, comfortable and well maintained. Don't think we'll be staying at a Disney resort again.

beautiful hotel more for conventions then families

Our check in was a bad start but worked out in the end. They told us to wait for our room to be ready a 1:00 then learned at 5:00 they forgot about us and gave our double queen bed room away that was requested next to our friends room. They wound up giving us a upgrade in another tower from them. The only room they said they had available was a king room with a roll away bed for for us,a family of 3. The room was just revamped but not kid friendly at all for my 5 year old it only had a stand up shower no tub, but I guess thats part of the balcony upgrade. Besides the bumpy start with all the miscommunication at the front desk. The grounds were beautiful lots to look at. Very corporate feel to it, lots of conventions going on. We stayed for a disney trip since its very close by to the parks. Its just a bit weird when everyone at the pool bar/restaurant is in suits and name tags and your in a bikini. It makes you feel a bit out of place like your The under dresses few at the pool! All in all it was a nice clean hotel but weird hidden fees like the bottled water charge of $20 per night, If I would of known that, I would have drank it instead of buying $8 waters from the lobby everyday. Also the park your own car charge was a bit silly at $18 per night or $40 a day from valet. So if you stay there make sure you know its not the great deal you think your getting when you book it, you will have a bill at the end if your stay at around $40 per night.
