Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Orlando Maingate at Calypso, FL

hotel was great except furniture and fixtures in room were all chipped and cracked. pools were wonderful. staff very friendly and helpful. free breakfast was very good. grounds were beatiful and well maintained. would go back again.

horrible! hair all in the bathroom, sheets didn't fit the bed, hole in wall, cracked ceiling all across room, a/c only worked at times, rude employees, when asked for a few extra towels employee stated you haven't used the ones you already have in our room yet. ice machine was broke,phones in room was broke, dirty walls (black marks all up walls) hole in bathroom wall where soap hold used to be.should I really go on! will not be back there thats for sure.

My husband and I had a wonderful time! The hotel was clean, staff very helpful and pleasant; the pool's atmosphere was fun and exciting with the help of a nightly DJ. Short distances too many shops, restaurants, and entertainment. This trip we didn't travel with our children but its very kids orientated place with kiddy pools and playground areas for them to have fun! We loved our stay and recommend it to anyone that's traveling alone or with children.

The wife & I did not visit the local attractions (did that years ago when the kids were little), but we wanted to be in central Florida so we could easily visit both coasts. We hit the Clearwater beach area one day and Daytona Beach on another. The big attraction for me at Daytona was driving 8 laps around the track in a 600 HP race car at the Petty Driving Experience, fantastic!!! I did some drag racing in my younger days, but driving 146 mph in a NASCAR machine on the 31 degree banking is intense!! I highly recommend this experience to any NASCAR fan. They also have ride alongs with professional drivers if you're not up to driving yourself or if you don't do 4 speed manual transmissions. Check it out!!!

Having stayed at several Country Inn and Suites in Canada, we were very disappointed in the considerably lower standard of cleanliness, maintanence and quality. We booked and were assigned a 1 bdrom with queen pullout. The pullout was broken..we were reassigned a room that was a bit better, but still the pullout was in bad repair missing several springs to support the mattress. The breakfast room provided adequate food at best, but was disgustingly dirty throughout the breakfast period, as were several other areas of the hotel(staircase leading from the foyer). The one positive is that the hotel was very conveniently located across from a Walmart supercentre-great for providing meals. There were several pools and other outdoor activities and a free shuttle to the theme parks. I gues for $75 a night, you get what you pay for...just substandard for this brand hotel.

Central location and reasonable price would be the best two things I could say. Clean enough but dated rooms. Continental breakfast very disappointing. $8/day resort fee on top of published room rates stupid.

We had previously stayed at a resort hotel, whose location was incomparable for our purposes and the surrounds were beautiful. For about a quarter of the price, this inn offered a much larger room (the original room we had smelled of smoke, so they moved us to a King Suite), which offered us a real base for our vacation. The stff was great, and they provided free shuttles to major local sites and reasonably varied breakfast. The suite, itself, was nearly as well appointed as our resort, and also came with a refrigerator and microwave.

We chose The Country Inn & Suites for it's location, near the convention center we were attending and the Disney attractions.The pool, hot & cold breakfast buffet,the clean room supplied with microwave, refrigerator.coffee maker,iron and hair dryer were all we needed. The staff was very attentive and pleasent. We have traveled places that were more expensive and had less to offer. We would reccomend this facility to anyone traveleing to this area either with young children or like us , a mature couple. There is something for everyone right here.

I was looking for a place where the kids could have fun and I could rest. This place was Perfect for that! The kids loved the pool with the slides.I have a 3 month old so having a clean room is imperative ,so a couldnt ask for more.The room was very clean, comfortable and it had microwave and small fridge.

It was clean and the staff was curtious, I really loved the Pool and breakfast buffet was well equiped the location is close to the parks and therfore i can see us staying there in the future.
