Where Duval St. meets the water's edge..

Very nice upscale resort with a wonderful spa. It's unique in that it has a small, private beach right near the pool, bar and restaurant. So you can have a wonderful time staying on property. There is also another bar and restaurant. I treated myself to a massage and pedicure, it was great. The location is the best part of this hotel, at 1 Duval, it's on the pier, literally. You can walk a few hundreds yards and be in the madness of late night Duval or the in Mallory Square for the sunset Celebration each night. It's also close to several piers where all the charter boats push off from. The staff was attentive and very helpful. My only complaint would be very slow service at breakfast. But I found some of the local haunts had better food anyway, so I didn't each much at the resort. I prefer to go off the beaten path and eat where locals due. To that end make sure you get to B.O.'s Fish Wagon for lunch, Blue Heaven for Breakfast and Pepe's for lunch or their thursday night Thanksgiving feast. Also had a great upscale Italian meal at Virgioli's Trattoria. Would definitely go back and stay at the Pier House.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

The Wine Tasting Sail, Wind and Wine, that marries the sunset with 8 great wines and fun people. It's from Danger Charters and you go out for an hour and a half or so. It was magical, a real highlight of my trip.

          A very good experience

I needed place well-located to experience Key West. First time there. So, when I arrived, I drove around and found what seemed to be a central area from which to experience the town. This was the perfect place. Central to everything. [...] There is a nice pool, dining room, very pretty room (lanai) with very nice bathroom compete with a rain shower. Enjoy

Nightlife tip: Short walk from hotel

While thre is a lot to see all over the island, this hotel is definitely located in the best area. It is close to everything: day-time entertainment ((mallory harbor), dining, shopping, night entertainment, the beach, boating, etc. Also, scooters are the best way to see the town. Scooter rental is located right at the hotel parking area. But check across the street as well to make sure you are getting a good deal. I think other places (further away) probably will give you a better deal.

          Fantastic Resort, great location.

I had a wonderful time at the pier house resort. Will definitly go back again. My room was fantastic, all new, balcony, and water view. Great location to all the fun on Duval street. Never used my car the whole stay. The private beach, outdoor bar, and health spa facilities were great. The staff and guests were friendly and a lot of fun.

Nightlife tip: Short walk from hotel

The nightlife was plentiful and within a short distance from the hotel. All types of entertainment. The sunset celebration every evening at Mallory Square was entertaining and fun.
