Friendly and Relaxing

The staff is super friendly. The hotel bar has great prices. The location is a little far from the "touristy" area so depending on what you want, this either may be less than ideal or perfect. And if you are doing the walking back and forth, you can always visit the pools/hot tubs to help you relax. If you get the B&B deal with the breakfast, it is very nice food. I had a breakfast burrito one day and eggs benedict the next. Very filling. The one (and large) issue was the room. We were in the main building, top floor, which was less than idea b/c the roof's slope is translated into your living space (both bedroom and bathroom). If you are over 5'6 you may need a helmet. The shower was also very small. We didn't spend much time in the room, so this wasn't a big problem, but I wish I had known so we could have perhaps requested a room on a different floor due to our height.

peace and quiet

my stay a Pearls was great! i planned a last minute trip for MYSELF for much needed peace and quiet, and Pearls was perfect. The breakfast was great, and the staff was super friendly. It was at the quiet end of Duval St, so i was away from the late night crowd out having a good time. Definitely recommend Pearls if you are looking for quiet and relaxation.

Ft Zachary Beach was beautiful, but it does cost money to rent beach chairs and umbrellas, but so worth it. I recommend renting a bike since they are cheap and fun

Great location!

This was my first trip to Key West and Pearl's was right in the middle of things:within walking distance to the beach, Duval street and Southest Point. The breakfast was delicious every morning and staff very friendly. I'm pleased with my hotel choice.

great place to stay!!!

Pearl's is a great place to stay... many people from all over the world come and stay at this hotel. It is just around the corner from Duval street which is one of the main streets that tourists walk down each day. The prices are great and the staff is very friendly. If you need a cab call or even a reservation made these fine ladies and gentlemen now will help in anyway they can.

Not bad

We were unaware that Pearl's was, up until recently, a women's resort [...]. The room was clean, if small, and used a window unit for cooling. To get to the main building you went through a hallway that was used for storage and was somewhat cluttered. The grounds were very lush and attractive with two pools. The resort is close to Duvall so the locale is good. Only approx 4 parking spaces for 20+ units so if you have a car, it's going to be an issue, given the rates Key West charges for parking. You can find un-metered spaces but its a bit of an hassle. The breakfasts were good, if not quite as good as at The Rock Cottage, a B and B in Eureka Springs that we've stayed at previously. The staff was reasonably helpful, if not particularly warm in some cases.

Great location, super-friendly staff

These older buildings might not be for everyone, but the place is funky fun. The room I was given was literally on the street with a Dumpster as one view and people passing on the sidewalk the other view. I asked for a change and was immediately given a second-floor room that was much nicer. Weekend nights out in the cafe can be loud but it's typical Key West stuff. Best BLT sandwich ever! Limited clothing optional policy isn't found in guidebooks. Staff was unfailingly helpful and friendly.

A few steps from Duval Street where all the action is. Trolley ride (all-day use) is right across the street.
