Orchid Key Inn

The Orchid Key Inn was a great hotel at a good value. Staff was pleasant, the king suite room we had was clean, and the pool and hot tub were a tranquil setting even though right in the heart of Duval St. The onsite bar served continental breakfast and had great happy hour. Parking was very reasonable and everything is within walking distance. We will definitely revisit again!

I stayed for 3 nights but wished it had been longer. This is a lovely small hotel. It is located on Duval street so its close to all the action but I found it to be very quiet and peacefull at the pool. The rooms were beautifull and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpfull. The complementary breakfast was very good. I will stay at this hotel on my next vist to Key West.

We read great reviews online and they were all right for once! Great rooms, pool and service. Walking distance to all the nightlife, but far enough away to have a good night sleep.

I decided to surprise my finance with a weekend getaway to Key West for his birthday. I couldn't have chosen a better place. From speaking with hotel staff, I learned that Orchid Key Inn was recently rennovated under 2 years ago. The decor is modern and calming. Needless to say, I was plesantly surprised! The Inn is located directly off of Truman (US-1) and Duval Street. There is limited parking on-site at an addtional cost of $8, excellent in comparison to other hotel parking costs in the area. We arrived at around 4pm, just in time for their daily happy hour. The Orchid Bar is quaint and fits approximately 8 people. They have a nice selection of wine, beer, and hard liqour. You will also find locals come to have drinks here. Hotel guests receive a ticket for one complimentary drink each that can be used between 5 and 6pm. There are drink specials up until 7pm and the bar closes at 11pm. There is also a complimentary continental breakfast that is served at the Orchid Bar that ends at 10am. Whether you want to have breakfast poolside or take it to your room, it is a great way to get your morning started. Concierge recommended we rent a bicycle to get around town and leave our car parked. Trying to find parking around town can be challenging. The bicycle rental company is an easy walk up Truman. Although it was a hot day, we were able to get around town easily and see the important landmarks. I recommend renting the bicycles. Not only is it a good exercise but you can also ride your bicyles onto the piers and areas where a scooter may not. Make sure you are hydrated and take a water bottle along for the ride. Orchid Key Inn also has a pool and jacuzzi. Though the pool is small, it is perfect enough to cool down and for the capacity of guests at the Inn. Access to the pool is 24-hours provided you are considerate of the other guests and keep the noise level down. The room, bedding and bathroom were all comfortable and kept very clean.

Modernized units. Very clean, great beds, small rooms but substantial for one guest. GREAT LOCATION if Duval is your "thing".

Wonderful! The hotel was wonderful, the room was clean & all the services were above and beyond my expectation. We stayed in the King Suite it was like staying in a spacious two bedroom apartment. There is a King size bed in the bedroom & a Queen size sofa bed in the living room. The hotel location is in a quiet area, but close enough where you can take a leisurely walk to all the dinning and shopping. The pool was clean the hot tub is beautiful accented by a waterfall. The Happy hour offered by the hotel was in a beautiful setting. My girls & I enjoyed site seeing, shopping & dinning. Anyone planning a trip to Key West gives this hotel a try it is fabulous. I promise you it will be an experience like not other hotel.

Enjoyed the sights on Duval street and the staff at the hotel gave us a different room immediately when ours wasn't ready. Our room was beautiful but a bit small. The staff is nice but neighbors were loud and spent the entire night in the pool. Not very respectful of the other guests. I was charged a deposit on top of my two nights so basically, I was overcharged by A LOT that they never could explain to me why OR when I was going to get that money back that so far, I have not gotten back. I arrived at my original hotel at midnight, and was told that I had been placed at a different hotel down the street. SO I moved to the sister hotel. When I got there, my bill was now $167 when I booked the room on [...] for $137. Completely ridiculous.

Almost had a complete disaster when we arrived to find 30 or so screaming, drunk people crowded in the pool who squirted us with water guns as we were trying to check in. Luckily Brandon at the front desk sent us across the street to their sister property The Almond Tree Inn for the afternoon where we could relax. The staff were beside themselves trying to deal with this group so I give them credit for trying to manage the situation. The rooms at Orchid Key are beautiful and quiet, the breakfast and happy hour are very nice and the location is great. We would definitely go back.
