You never fail me!

I booked this hotel for a family wedding. It was spacious for my party and is well equipped. The hotel is clean and my bed is very comfortable. The staffs are impressively friendly and helpful. The only thing that is negative in this hotel is it's location. It is too far from the centre (town). However, it wasn't much of a bigger deal. I would definitely book the same hotel for my next visit to the Key West!

Perfect Family Getaway

This is the perfect hotel/condominium for a family of 5 to get away and be able to stay in the same room. The 2 bedroom suites comfortably slept my family. The ocean view from the 3rd story screened balcony was beautiful, and it came with a telescope for trying to find dolphins or pirate ships. The pool and jacuzzi were fun for the adults and the kids. There is a snackbar/tiki bar with good snacks and drinks for kids and adults, a ping pong table, billiards, shuffleboard, and a beach volleyball court along with grills, full kitchens, a dining room, and a living room with sleeper-sofa. The only negative thing I can say about the property is that it is located approximately 3 miles from Duval Street, the Southernmost point, and about 4 miles from Malory Square, which might be a positive for families looking to be removed from the wilder side of key west. It is located directly on a bike/jogging path that links the east side of the island with the southern and western sides, approximately 1/4 mile from Smather's Beach. The concierge will arrange bike rentals for the family if you ask for about 10 dollars a day per bike.

If you are bringing your family to Key West, I recommend the Dry Tortugas ferry (Yankee Freedom). The water is crystal clear, the boat ride is beautiful, and it is a lot of fun for kids and adults.

beautiful place

Excellent place a absolutely beautiful condos. Only down side was not within walking distance to beaches shops and restaurants. Disliked the way they added parking resorts fees per day without telling us till check out. $55/day. Oh...and airport is right next door. Brady that ran the snack shack was AWESOME!!! Great guy...great cook and bartender!!!

Perfect family hotel

This hotel is amazing. From the grounds to the room to the staff there is nothing bad to say. The hotel is away from the "action" of Key West but sometimes that's a good thing. The shuttle service they offer is really good so you don't have to drive to the busy spots where parking is a challenge. From my 75 yr old mom to my 20 yr old daughter this hotel was a hit. We will stay here again and again

The Commander's for dinner is awesome, fine dining without being overly priced. Near the other Hyatt downtown.

Bed bug!!!

The hotel was great. And we all loved it but we all got a bad case of bed bugs. We had a room with two bed rooms. And everyone one in both rooms got bed bug bits. I would recommend this but beware of the bugs

Ms

This Hyatt was absolutely beautiful! The main down fall was the housekeeping at 5:30 til 6:30 pm. That is the time we were getting back from excursions and wanting to get ready for Duval Street!! The grounds were picture perfect, lots of ocean views! The pool was nice, hot tub set too high temperature. The Abbey concessions was a nice touch with decent prices for a vacation within a resort, but they close at 6pm. Well lit facility, but not too much-just right for star gazing! The elevators were down 75%of the time, which was inconvenient for bringing items to car for the beach or even to the pool. There were always enough chairs and pool area tables with umbrellas for shade. I would stay here again and would recommend this Hyatt to my family and friends! Compared to other places to stay in Key West, this tops all, unless you are looking for night life right outside your door. This place works for me because my night life is the fact that I can see the crystal clear ocean from anywhere on these grounds, including my balcony-and the fact that I like to connect with my family without all the hustle and bustle of town. I enjoyed my stay and am looking forward to our next family vacation at this Hyatt in Key West! We stayed a week and feel like it was money well spent!

Sightseeing tip: Long walk from hotel

Smathers is right around the corner, but too far to walk to with kids and towels, drinks, etc. Parasailing on Smathers beach was worth the fee, but go in the AM -it's cheaper! Restaurants nearby within walking distance but expensive! Go to Publix for groceries upon arrival.

An amazing experience

Our two bedroom, two bath condo was absolutely beautiful. It was by far, the prettiest condo I have ever stayed in. We lacked for nothing. The grounds were immaculate and the infinity pool was awesome. We visited the Abbey Road snack shack daily. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was away from Duval street. We had no problem getting a taxi downtown. While visiting Key West, we took the ultimate adventure which included snorkeling, jet skiing, and parasailing. We also took a sunset cruise .Watching the sunset over the ocean was amazing. We went to Mallory Square, the southermost point ,Smathers Beach and climbed the lighthouse. We went to Duval street everynight. The weather was great during our entire stay. The only complaint I have ,is that I wish there were more eating establishments within walking distance of the condo. We did eat next door at La Tratoria. The food was excellent.

Don't wait for the bus. The schedule was very unreliable. The taxi was $4.50 per person and there was no problem getting one when you were ready for it.

Good place to spend some alone time with family

There is a volleyball court, a spa and a well maintained temperature controlled swimming pool as well. If you walk westward out from the resort, you will find a very nice white sand beach. It was not too crowded, but had enough activity that was inviting for an entire morning in the sun!

Entertainment tip: Short walk from hotel

Walk towards the beach from the hotel and over the embankment, you can have a look at a variety of marine life from up close! It is not a substitute for snorkeling at the reefs, but still, something better than nothing. :)
