Can't beat the location!
This B&B doesn't come with a whole lot of bells n' whistles but with Duval St. right out your door, you don't need much else! You're blocks from the Southern Most Point, a few blocks from the bar scene on Duval --- but just far enough to not have to deal with the noise all night long. The hotel is clean and quiet, shaded by beautiful trees. Off-street parking on-site, free breakfast, easily walkable to all of the popular attractions, bike/scooter rental next door for cruising around the island. Plus, the price was pretty darn good for this area of town. My only complaint is the bed was a bit uncomfortable, rooms were pretty basic, and the free breakfast had minimal offerings. I'd stay here again.

Duval House
The hotel was great. The rooms were a little small but really nice. The location was amazing, right downtown on Duval Street. The hotel had a nice pool and a great "backyard" area. Complimentary continental breakfast was good (bagels, muffins, cereal).

Great location for a pleasant getaway
I went with my wife to Key West and stayed at Duval House for a night. The location couldn't be any better considering that it's almost in the center of Duval street with all restaurants and shops close by. The complex is pretty small but that kinds of adds to its charm. The Deluxe unit we got was very pretty with hardwood floors, king size bed, nice wardrobes and they added some personal touch with a flower on top of the folded bathtowels kept on the bed. The breakfast is ok. Nice coffee with some bagels and muffins. They also had different types of cereals and some fruits. It was cool that they write the day's weather of the city from which all their current guests are from on a whiteboard in the breakfast area. The garden was very beautiful. Parking is cramped and it is not free (something that is not very obvious from the hotel's description). Overall, it was a good experience.

Wonderful Weekend Getaway
This was our second time in Key West, and it couldn't have been better. We were on a little 3 day weekend trip for our anniversary, having been married in Key West the year before. The Duval House is everything we wanted. We weren't going to Key West for typical touristy things. Although we did go to the beach, our main reasons behind the trip were the food and the bars. We really wanted a place on Duval Street. Being able to walk everywhere you want to go is essential, and the Duval House is almost dead center on Duval. I don't want to fuss with electric cars and cabs and scooters. Walking and the occasional pedicab are ideal for us. Walking to Mallory Square was a completely viable option from this location. The check in process was quick and painless. Parking was a little confusing, but nothing worth pulling your hair out over. There's parking to the right of the property and directly behind it on Center. Don't use the parking lot on the left. That's an electric car/scooter rental lot. The woman that checked us in was very friendly and escorted us to our room to make sure everything was to our liking. Our room was at the back of the property and was absolutely wonderful. There was a sitting area outside by the entrance, an additional sitting area outside a side door, and the room was very clean and quiet. We never heard a peep from the other guests (and they were full that weekend) aside from a few friendly hellos. The gardens are amazing. The pool is somewhat small, but without children splashing around everywhere, it was just fine. There are plenty of tables and lounge chairs and even a hammock around the gardens. Breakfast was nothing to write home about, but it wasn't bad at all. Cereal, bagels, pastries- your typical small breakfast. If that isn't up to par for you, there's a lovely place directly across the street called Croissants de France, and Blue Heaven is a short walk away into Bahama Village. If you want a very cozy, affordable room to come back to after drinking the night away, or would just like the convenience of Duval Street, I would highly recommend the Duval House.

Nice location not such a great stay
Was very disappointed in are stay hotel was cute but, very small room. Staff wasnt very friendly didn't feel very welcomed. Might have been because we were a younger couple. Room had a very funky smell in it. Next time we will look for another place on duval st. Staff didn't seem like they wanted to be there. We felt like we were an inconvience
