Nice and served its purpose!

We had a great time at The Chelsea House in Key West. The location was perfect for Duval Street and the walk wasn't bad - we would def stay here again in the future.

Great location and atmosphere

Our first trip to Key West. Loved the laid back atmosphere and the people. Our niece had stayed at Chelsea House and recommended it. We'd return any time! We were upgraded upon check in which was a bonus!

Cute & Charming

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Chelsea House for my birthday weekend. We did not know however that it was Bike Fest down there the same weekend. I was worried that it was going to be extremely noisy because the B&B is located on a main road. We asked the staff if they could give us a room away from the main road and they were happy to accomodate us. Our room was very small and had slanted ceilings, which did not work well with my 6'2 boyfriend but we had a private balcony which made up for it. We had lots of plans over the weekend so we were not in the room very often but it was clean & the breakfast was nice. I would recommend the room with the King size bed, it was a lot bigger with a mini fridge and a fire place.

Great Hotel in a Great Location

We recently stayed at this hotel on road trip through southern Florida and it was the nicest place we stayed. The people who worked there were very friendly and upgraded our room for no reason. The room was very spacious and had everything you could want in a hotel. There were beautiful tropical plants everywhere and a nice balcony. We were only two blocks from Duval Street so we were able to walk everywhere. I highly recommend this hotel.

Achy Back!

The queen size bed had the most horrible mattress I have every slept on. My husband ended up sleeping on the floor after I pleaded with him not too because let's face it, any motel floor is not clean, but if he wanted to get any sleep he had to. It creaked and squeaked and sprung at our backs all night. How horrible!

Nice atmosphere ....

Chelsea House Pool and Gardens, Key West, Florida was a great place to stay for a weekend getaway! Centrally located only 2 blocks from Duvall street. The room had lots of character reminiscent of a late 1800's home. Nicely maintained with lots of great windows, tree top views with a nice veranda right outside our room. The only minor issue was low water pressure in the shower - but we had lots of hot water for our showers! We ate breakfast each morning by the pool and dinner at a very nice fresh sea food restaurant - try the lobster - south on the corner across the street. We only used our car when we went to the other side of the island and took a sunset sail on the incredible Adirondack II schooner! What a dream getaway!!! I highly recommend the Chelsea House Pool and Gardens in Key West, Florida!!!

Location & Pricing

This hotel is a comfortable hotel, although the rooms are highly condensed and this makes noise travel well between rooms. It is a well-kept hotel, and quite clean overall. The location is ideal due to proximity to Duvall Street and given the 2-mile diameter to the island, you're smack in the middle. Stay here and you won't need a car. I was disappointed in the size of the room. I've paid substantially less for substantially more in the past, so that is my only gripe.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Salsa Loca is a fine Mexican restaurant on Duvall that serves some of the freshest and finest Mex' food I've had. Service was extraordinarily pleasant on a very busy evening.
