Good value for the price.

This was a nice clean older facility. Nice pool and beach front. Would not have expected any more for the price.

ENDED UP STAYING LONGER

My husband and I, along with our adult son, checked in on Tuesday, January 24, with the intentions of staying two nights, then head up to South beach for a couple of days. However, we absolutely fell in love with the resort, the serene "hideaway" location, and the accommodating and friendly staff. After the first night we ended up staying through Saturday, foregoing a stay at South Beach. We do not regret it. The only glitches were the pool was not heated and the Tiki Bar was not open. This did not hinder our trip as we spend a lot of time exploring the beautiful sites around Key West, including spending time at Fort Zachary. We did not bring our bicycles with us this time, but we truly did not have an issue finding parking when we ventured in "old town". As a freelance writer and my husband an IT specialist web designer, we even found time in the evening to get in some "work time" amid the lush and beautiful surroundings beach side where there is adequate Wi-Fi. The best of both worlds! I without a doubt recommend this resort to anyone wanting a serene place to rejuvenate yet within a mile or two of lots of activity. Large clean rooms. Courteous and accommodating staff. More than adequate continental breakfast. A++++ in my book!

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

We are frequent visitors to Key West. Each time we visit, we look for new places to dine and see. This year we at at McConnell's Irish Pub on Duval Street. We give two thumbs up to McConnell's Irish Pub. Delicious food, lively outdoor seating, at an affordable cost.

two night stay

Room was nice, but the bathroom wall paper was coming off the wall, bath tub grab bar was missing, faucet old and works hard and bathtub diverter stuck so cold water sprays out of the shower head unexpectedly

Nice place for grown-ups

if you don't have a car, look for a hotel closer to Old Town, because you would have to take cab every time (about $10 to get to the center). Public transit only runs once every 1.5 hours, not reliable... But if you have a car, it's perfect. Rooms are nice, there is a little private beach for chilling (but not for swimming), large pool (though the water was cold), each room has a balcony, decent continental breakfast, no children allowed. We only slept at the hotel and didn't do much on its premises; however, the experience is positive.

not what they say

I was told that this was a clothing optional pool that is why I went there not to see other people but to relax and enjoy it myself well the toll free no for the hotel and the staff told me that it was clothing optional but it was fine till someone at the hotel didnt like it so they told me to get dressed I think it is wrong to say that you are a clothing optional hotel then change the rules just because someone dont like it I would them to go someplace else or give me my mony back

Familey trip

I was not happy with the room, the air in our room did not put out cold air, the tv controller did not work. I went to front desk and told them they said they would fix it and I also called the front desk twice and they said they would tell mant. They never came. when the toilet sead was down and when you went to go lift it up it smelled like urine. For what i payed for the room i thought it was not worth the price. I will never stay there again

Inexpensive, clean hotel for the reasonable traveler

I am in my mid-20s and found this place to be everything you need for an inexpensive trip to Key West. You will need to take a cab to most attractions, but it never took longer than 5 minutes to call the hotel's recommended cab and it was very reasonable. The place was quite, the pool was great, the view with benches/hammock were nice, etc... We didn't plan to stay in our hotel for much of the trip, so the fact everything worked and ti was clean kept us happy customers. My only complaint is the pathetic breakfast options. There is an IHOP a 5 minute drive away though.
