Great Find in the Heart of Old Town
The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The location was right around the corner from Duval yet quiet and enjoyable. The parking on site was perfect - park and never need the car the rest of the trip. You enter the gardens and find an oasis with pool and hot tub. The rooms were beautifully done, modern and clean. The complimentary continental breakfast was excellent and the Happy Hour each evening a welcome after a day of touring/sightseeing. Will definitely book again.

I'm Staying Again Next Time I'm In KW
What a nice place to stay! The rooms and grounds were very well kept. The bed was fantastic! The location couldn't have been better. Far enough away from the noise on Duval, yet close enough to walk to everything we wanted to do.

Wonderful retreat!
Laid back and very nice! Great location, close but not too close to all the action - very walkable. The rooms are newly redone and very nice and comfortable. The staff are incredibly nice, and the patio area is a great place to meet fellow guests.

NEEDED SUNSHINE !
Nice hotel for the money, like that it was walking distance to Duval st. and that the property as a whole was well taken care of from the modern room to nice grounds and pool.

Perfection in Paradise
This boutique hotel was totally redone in October, 2012. There is a comfy bed, large bathrobes, microwave, refrigerator, flat screen TV, Keurig coffee maker and contemporary decorations in the small room. A continental breakfast is available 7-10 in the pool area. There is also a happy hour with light snacks from 5-7. We had a room by the pool and it was never noisy. Upon stepping out of the room we stepped into a small, private patio area. There was a koi pond with gentle waterfall, too. Cheryl greeted us when we first arrived. She provided a map and ideas for sightseeing. She also cheerfully greeted us at the happy hour. Shea was the morning person who greeted us at breakfast. She called a cab for us the morning we left and the cab arrived promptly! The location is perfect. You are about a 15-20 minute walk to Mallory Square. We walked slowly as we were there the first week in January and it was 80 and very humid. Only three blocks away is the Hemingway House and a 10 minute walk away is the Butterfly Conservatory. A block from that is Southernmost Point. Right next to the hotel is a CVS and a Denny's, but I would recommend trying the local restaurants ! The. pictures on the website are accurate. Some friends recommended staying in a B and B while in Key West. Am not a B and B type of person. This hotel was absolutely perfect for our mother- daughter vacation.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
The yellowfin tuna salad at Caroline's Cafe is generous and refreshing. Next door is the Grand Cafe, with the best Key Lime Pie we ate during our stay. Both places have outdoor dining areas for excellent people watching on Duval Street.

First Time in Key West!!
The staff at The Almond Tree Inn were fabulous. The website correctly advertises everything! We met the owner, Bill, and upon checkout, we told him it was our anniversary. He said he had something for us. He gave us a huge box of chocolates..."just because"!! We didn't want to leave Key West, and the hotel made us dread our departure that much more!! Simply put.....PARADISE....right here in the good ole USA!!!

We visited at the Key's "peak" season--Christmas week. Next time we will wait a couple of weeks so the crowds won't be as hectic.

Excellent Hotel, great staff
My brother and I had a great experience here. The room (two queen size beds) was a good size. I wouldn't call it huge, but had plenty of room for both of us, desk, dresser, TV, vanity sink, & bar sink. The bath room is a little narrow. The hotel rooms were also far enough off of Truman Street that there was no road noise in the room. You'd never know you were in the middle of Old Town Key West. Speaking of being in the middle of Old Town Key West, the hotel is right in the middle of Old Town. It's an easy walk from the hotel to either end of Duval Street, or to Fort Taylor State Park. Finally, the staff were all very nice. I recommend the hotel.

Sightseeing tip:
Long walk from hotel
Any of the "Jet Ski Tours" are not in any way a "tour". They are a race around the island at full throttle on a Waverunner. Don't expect to see a whole lot of the island unless you make sure they guide is going to stop many times.
