Microtel Inn and Suites Jacksonville Airport

Having stayed at the Microtel Inn & Suites on Airport Dr. in Jacksonville many times, I feel quite justified in saying that this hotel meets the needs of budgeting travellers perfectly. It is economical, clean, and close to the airport. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I will be very happy to stay there again!

simple spot at great rate and terrific location for early flight next AM....shuttle less than 5 minutes away....rooms relatively small, but not an issue if you aren't staying long.

Motel was close to airport.I was disappointed about no restaurant available.

We arrived in our room and it had not been cleaned. We went to the next room assigned to us. It was supposed to be a nonsmoking room but it smelled like cigarettes. We went to the pool and it was filled with bugs. Not just one or two but a swarm! I requested a skimmer so I could clean it and was told the pool man had the day off and the desk clerk couldn't find a skimmer. My daughter and I left within an hour of checking in. Our main goal was to use the swimming pool and go to the zoo. We checked into Best Western Hotel instead and had a wonderful time.

Right off the bat the room seemed very clean and nicely done. After the first night with no food in the room I noticed little tiny ants everywhere on the counters and cabinets. Even after they cleaned the room we had ants. Great hotel, staff and price. Hope they can get the ants to move out. ;)

This was one of my worst experiences. This rated near my Motel 6 experience when I was 19. I'm now in the 50 range of life and I checked-in around 8 pm and was assigned room 124. I noticed it was small but neat at first appearance. I wanted to chill a few bottles of water and noticed there was no refrigerator so I went to get a bucket of ice. The ice bucket had been previously used as it was still cool and moist (I missed this sign at first). I went to wash my hands before leaving and there was no soap. I removed my soap from my travel bag and thought this may be normal for a low budget hotel (missed another sign). I went out to dinner and returned to get a good night's rest before my early morning flight. As I turned back the covers I noticed coins on the floor and the top to a lubricant (the floor was not cleaned). The sheets were stained and I went to sleep fully dressed on top of the covers as the time was approaching midnight.

I went visiting family, and we stayed at the Microtel at Jacksonville airport. It was very clean, people were nice, and it was a great location.

Booked through [@] for a really good deal for a week. Usually smoking rooms aren't that clean but this room was. I enjoyed the view and the room felt like a nice studio apt. My only vice would be the extremely thin walls but all of the guests that stayed next door were bearable. I would stay again.
