Came to Jacksonville for a weekend getaway. The SPA was cold and the pool was nasty. There was a frog swimming around in the pool with no way to get it out. The room smelled of old, musty air but was clean. The A/C didn't work either. Other Amenities were ok, but barely used them.

Easy location for a overnight
Check in was very easy. A light next to bed that could be turned off without getting out of the bed would be helpful. Otherwise room was fine. Breakfast was OK with a large dining area. Easy access to 9-A makes this a good stop going north/south.

Smooth and Sweet
The hotel is located in a easily accessable location off the freeway. It is very well kept and clean. The rooms are a little larger than average and the breakfast got the day off to an early and good start - I highly recommend staying at the Hampton!

Short drive to beaches, Zoo, movie theater, restaurants (one bar and restaurant next to the hotel, across the parking lot). You need to rent a car (preferably at the airport)to go any place.
