Hampton Inn & Suites Jacksonville-Deerwood Park, FL

My stay at the holiday inn and suites in Jacksonville Florida was beyond amazing. Even though i waited to the last minute to get a room i was still fully satisfied. The hotel was in a nice area with businesses and restaurants nearby. The room was very cozy. The bathroom was spacious it was perfect for a couple to relax.

Reerved and paid for a 2 queen bed suite w/ sofabed for me and my family. Was given a 2 double bed standard room. When I inquired at front desk after check in, was told, Sorry no suites available!! Too bad for me. Well if I reserve and prepay for a suite, I expect that is what I am to get. If you reserve a certain type of room at this Hampton Inn, cross your fingers when you check in!! Not a good way to start off your trip.

I am in the hotel business so needless to say I am very picky. I am spoiled as I have worked for some of the best Four Diamond hotels in the country from the Waldorf Astoria Orlando to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort. Needless to say, when I stay at a limited service property it is just to suit a business travel need and/or personal budget. But this Hampton Inn has wowed me twice now, and I would highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Jacksonville, FL. My wife and I were attending the Florida/Georgia football game. We had stayed at this hotel for the same game about six years back and loved it. The friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the property from lobby to sleeping room, and the most incredible location to many restaurant options within walking distance fulfilled our needs completely. We had tried to get back in to the hotel but it was always sold out, so when I found availability (finally) I booked it immediately. Let's just say the years in between when I didn't stay at this property NEVER compared. We tried other limited service hotels in the Jacksonville area and none had the comforts and conveniences this Hampton Inn provides.

There couldn't have been a better hotel to stay in. Hampton Inn made me want to stay every time I take a vacation or need a hotel for whatever reason.

This was a very nice hotel to stay at. I had the pool all to myself at one point. They have all the accomodations that more expensive hotels have at a reasonable price.

the hotel was very clean. the rooms were well lit and comfortable...the breakfast was good ..waffles , fruit . yogurt. and coffee could not of asked to stay at a better place..my daughter used the gym and was happy..

Our last night, the hotel decided to have their grout professionally cleaned -- at 10:00 at night! And the air compressor or whatever equipment they were using was right outside our room. When I called to the front desk, she was extremely pleasant and got the workers to stop the noise.

We enjoyed our stay. We would definitely stay there again!

Overall I enjoyed my stay here. The beds were very comfortable and so was the shower heads. I wasn't as impressed with the cleanness of the lobby and elevator as the first time I stayed there. I think I might try a new hotel on my next trip up to Jax to visit my daughters and grandson.
