Best Western Hotel JTB/Southpoint

Beds were too small for my wife and I and it was uncomfortable. Pillows were too small. The water was horrible for drinking purposes and whenever you showered, you felt slimy after. There was no free wifi throughout the entire stay...it was there but it never worked! The complimentary morning breakfast was terrible and cold. Too much noise in the hallways and outside the door even late at night.

This was our thrid stay at the Best Western JTB Southpoint. For the price its okay, the location is great right off I-95 close to Medical clinics and USCIS Immigration offices. We were a little disappoined in the breakfast this time, the eggs were cold at the buffet. They do not provide much in the way of extras in the bathroom, only 2 towels provided. They did provide free internet which was nice. Other furnishings are beginning to look dated, this hotel could use a makeover, bed mattresses are too soft and carpets faded. Other than that the staff was great, but next visit to that area I'll probably search for a newer hotel.

Room lacked microwave and refrigerator, but was clean and comfortable; hot breakfast was provided, but adjacent restaurant was closed. Easy access from interstates and close to Mayo Clinic, which was the reason for our stay.

One of our favorite restaurants is in Jacksonville, so we wanted a one night stay after our cruise. The hotel is convenient to the interstate and all the surrounding amenities. We had pre booked through our agent as there was a good rate on the hotel, and when we arrived it was fully booked for a weeknight. Checking in was a breeze for the reason above; the staff were very friendly, checking throughout our stay to see if everything was okay. Overall a good stay and would certainly go there again.

Our stay on 4-18-12 thru 4-21-12 was superb!! The staff was attentive and very willing to help, and the first thing that happened when we were checking in around 5 on Wed. afternoon, was they were feeding the guests complimentary boneless chicken wings & chips and salsa & beverages!! Delicious, and totally took us by surprise! The breakfast buffet was superb for the money (aka free!), it even included sausage! The only problem was-NO HOT TUB!! COULDN'T GET A HOT TUB ANYWHERE IN TOWN!!VERY DISSAPOINTING!! Oh well, a great stay anyway!! Highly recommended hotel. The day clerk Toni was my favorite....

GOOD CLOSE TO MAYO CLINIC AND CLOSE TO I-95, SHOPPING AREAS AS WELL AS FOOD.

The people were very nice. The hotel was affordable, very clean and professional looking.

I booked this hotel because the pictures looked nice and it was in a good location. It seemed like the discounted rate that was offered for booking two nights was a good deal. The hotel was easy to find, looked nice from the outside and the lobby was nice enough. When I got off the elevator, the hallway where my room was smelled horribly musty. The room smelled bad also. The shower was clogged with hair and water backed up around my ankles when I showered. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in and the bathroom was tiny. It was advertised that fridge and microwave could be requested, but I was told they could not. The "deluxe hot continental breakfast" included rubbery hard boiled eggs, frozen waffles that had thawed into a soggy mess on a plate, and warm milk to go with the cereal. While the staff was friendly, they did nothing to fix the clogged shower or the fact that by 4pm housekeeping still had not cleaned my room.

The usage for gym and sauna closing was not what I would like. The office area was not very good and wouldn't print files or docs other than web page. Other than that, it was ok. One of the elevators broke and had the entire 6 floors having to wait until you could jump on....

good experience, BUT..no refrig, and microwave was not good, so that will prob. change my mind about staying there again.....i"m on strict budget... otherwise i would recomend this hotel
