Amazing

I live in florida and this hotel makes you feel like you are on a vacation. So many things to do, amazing restaurants and the rooms are amazing!! I have stayed at other resorts in islamorada and they smell of mildew (I know it's the keys but my allergies can't handle it). This hotel was hands down great and I will definitely sty here again!! Only downfall is that it's on ocean side so you can't see sunset at the resort but you can walk across the street to other restaurants to see it.

Great Time!!

We booked 2 rooms for our family weekend. We all had a great time using the many amenities Cheeca Lodge had to offer. It was a truly memorable fun weekend. Staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Only improvement I might suggest is to increase the water pressure in the showers in the rooms.

Last minute getaway

We were expecting a five star experience . We have stayed in great hotels like hawks cay which is down the way. The room was great and spacious but the staff and service needs improvement. The resort itself needs a renovation , so many great opportunities for change . It's maintaince left us without that "awe" feeling. Long story short, it's good for a short short trip.

Enjoyable family getaway

Had a great time with the kids, age 4 and 8, and spouse. We went island hoping and this was my wife's favorite stop (not mine but close). The building appears to be an older structure that was renovated. The interior is beautiful. Lots of amenities included in the $39 resort fee. Would stay here again.

good for family getaway

Stuff were extremely friendly and helpful . Excellent Breakfast. The cottages need a major makeover .To old! Chairs at the tikkybar very uncomfortable because most cushion are broken /flat. Also most lounges on beach in bad shape. The small beach near the pier very dirty especially with plastic garbage. The rest of the large beach very clean. Very nice property.

Great Place!!!!

We had a great time!!!! This has to be the best place to stay in the Keys!!!! Only 2 things they need to address. Let's have the Starbucks coffee available to guests to help themselves until noon, not 10:30. Remember we are on Island time and need our coffee after a great time the day before drinking the Blue Berry Mohittos. Also let's utilize all of the seating area in the morning to be served for breakfast. The staff is accommodating and they keep the place spotless. Great Tommy Bahama themed resort!!!!

Good - not great

The Cheeca is a very nice hotel that could be great. First they need to do something about the waste mgmt facility they have right in the middle of the resort. Sitting outside on our very nice deck and it smelled like raw sewage for the first 2 days. Smell went away after that but when you walked past the facility you could smell it. Second there were ants in the room. They came and sprayed 2X but still they were everywhere. Great staff and lots of fun stuff to do on the property. Just need to fix a few things to get 5 stars.
