Pet-friendly hotel near Port Everglades and Fort Lauderdale airport

Good location, good stay
We stayed overnight at this hotel as it was close to the airport for our early morning flight. The location is great for getting to the airport and is easy to find. Staff was helpful, rooms were clean and comfortable. We did not make use of any other amenities.

convenient
It worked and is convenient being close to the port and airport, but this hotel has seen its better days. My wife had to yell at one of the transportation guys to get off his lazy butt and move his feet out of the way so she could get through on the side walk, guy had a real attitude

Great for cruises.
Location close to airport, good shuttle. Close to Cruise port, good shuttle. Close to restaurants and shops around the corner. Great valet service, good breakfast. Quiet for such a large hotel. Parking while cruising. Our 2nd time there and will go again.

Ok for what you pay for
It was difficult to actually check in. The computer was down and the staff made me feel as though it was my fault. Others behind me were equally upset. All in all, check in was not smooth. The room itself was ok. I think it was clean enough although it didn't smell particularly inviting. The furnishings and furniture were tired and worn. But, that being said, it did the job: airport, cheap eats and a grocery store close by. Just off the interstate. It was fairly cheap but I have paid $20 less for the same in recent weeks.

Pre-cruise hotel
We booked this hotel because of the shuttle service it offered and because they served breakfast. It ended up being an excellent pick for our pre-cruise hotel. The rooms were very nice, breakfast was a standard fare but tasty. The shuttle service was great from the airport and to the cruise port and then at the return of our vacation because we were not going to the hotel they offered us a $10.00per person fare from the cruise-port to the airport. This was great as taxis are a bit more for only two people. Another great thing about this hotel is it is within walking distance of a number of restaurants and big name stores. We were able to pick up last minute items we had forgotten or needed it was great! I will defiantly stay here again if we go out of Fort Lauderdale for a cruise or we are in the area for a day or 2.

There are a number of great restaurants right by the hotel. I would recommend checking them out and not eating at the hotel restaurant which just serves the usual burgers and other types of food.

This hotel is used very heavy by cruise lines, when I opened the door with a heavy push just to open I got that smell of a lot of spraying and not much cleaning. I'm sure the sheets were not cleaned . I looked next door the the Hampton Inn and wished I was there. This place really needs to be done over. The staff at the front desk were fine.the breakfast was not very good.I would not stay there again and I am not a fussy person I just want clean and I did not feel I got it there.

Great location, pool and breakfast.
Clean and friendly. Located close to the airport with free shuttle service every hour. Hot breakfast and a nice pool. A great deal for the price.
