Perfect stay for last minute booking.

The hotel was exactly what we were looking for and what we expected from a Hilton brand hotel. Very clean rooms, wonderful showers with convenient Neutrogena shower dispensers, microwave, full size fridge, and dishwasher. The hotel was perfectly located with quick drive access to a number of restaurants and shops off the main roadway, Archer. We came here during a football game weekend and most hotels were sold out. Discovered this had 2 rooms available at a reasonable price. Very satisfied. Will come again!

the good and the ugly

We had 2 rooms at this hotel. We were in Gainsville to attend a wedding. The only thing wrong at this hotel was house keeping. I pulled the sofa out and the sheets look like they had not been changed. There was trash under the sofa. In the second room there were ladies underware left in one of the chairs. House keeping was the only problem we had, and yes I would stay at this hotel again. The food in the dinning room was very good, the staff was very helpful in the dinning room and at the main desk.

No complaints

Free breakfast, welcome reception mon-thurs and a 12:00pm checkout time. Has all the amenities except no mini-bar and no room service. All in all, great stay

Fantastic family getaway

Not good enough

We were there for a golf tournement. Upon arrival there were no staff members to assist with bags and when one was found he just left a cart for my wife to load up and get to the room. Breakfast had all but gone by 8:30AM - poor supply. Also, the small basketball court was being used at 7:30AM on Saturday by other than hotel guests which woke a lot of people up. Some of the mugs in our room had old lipstick stains on them! I would NOT stay here again!

Great Find close to campus.

We were in town for a college visit and wanted something close to the UF campus. This fit the bill. Great value given the cleanliness and comfort of the room, and the service from the staff. Did not utilize the amenities so really can't speak to those. Complimentary breakfast was good, although on a couple mornings about half way through the designated hours they had already run short on some items. Staff were attentive and very friendly. Would definitely stay here again if in town and would recommend to a friend.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

Satchels Pizza was a little drive, but well worth it. Best deep dish pizza we've ever had and the Lighting Salvage Company is an entertainment bonus. Decor is eclectic and fun. See if you can get seated in the van or treehouse.

Homewood Suites

Visit family, great rooms, great location. Walls were too thin. I could hear the neighbors TV ALL NIGHT.

Great service

The front desk clerk was friendly and helpful. Very nice greeting since we checked in at about 10pm. The room didn't smell bad or good. It was clean...even the coffee maker, which is usually pretty bad at hotels. We stayed in the king suite with a kitchen and pull out bed. The pull out was terrible, even my child said it was bad. The king bed was great and had great pillows. The tv's were not flat screen, something like 27-32" crt. For the $110 dollar price tag I would stay at another one for sure. The extra space and additional room was nice. The hot breakfast was served on time 7am and was pretty good.
