Great deal
Dont see what all the fuss is about. granted its not a five star romantic get-away, I was pleasantly surprised to find a clean room with fridge and microwave. Just appropriate for my one night stay prior to interviewing at UF shands for residency. It is in a great location close to the hospital, has a chinese buffet conveniently attached, front desk service was polite, wireless internet available in room, all amenities were functional. Great deal for a functional trip where you need cheap livable space.

Great weekend in Gainesville
First trip to Gainesville, this hotel was better than expected. We arrived early and they were able to get us a room by the pool. Loved the Florida couple next to us. Hotel was close to campus and we walked back from the game. The owner and his family were great. Enjoyed our trip. Roll Tide!!

Traveling retirees
The okay, but wouldn't use again stop
A one night stop while traveling. Check-in person was pert bordering on rude. There were minimal amenities in the room and only coffee in the morning; not in the room. The room had a very damp odor upon entrance. The heating unit was propped up with a 2X4 on the floor and we had to clean filters on the unit to get acceptable air emitted for us to breathe. Very disappointed; bad value!

Older motel with not much to like
This is a motel that was probably built in the 70s with a limited refresh in the last few years. Clean enough and location is good for reaching the Univ of FLA (but a good 10 mins to I-75). Nice TV with good channel selection. Bed was comfy. Could hear my neighbors easily which kept me awake one night. No hair dryer in the room, so I asked for one at the front desk... they required me to return after use (even though I was staying another day). I won't be back.

good cheap hotel
This is a convenient location for attending University of Florida or Shands hospital activities. It is an old, quite inexpensive motel. It was clean, a little shabby, but the excellent mattress was almost new and it was reasonably quiet in the room. Beefs: The remote to the TV worked in part, but had to scroll through channels because it would not go to the channel punched in by number. Also, forget morning coffee in the office, just go down the road to IHOP.

weekend warrior
This hotel was a suprise!
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It was clean and smelled that way. The clerk that checked me in was polite and professional and so was the hotel manager when i checked out. He even made me a cup of coffee lol. I did get a non smoking room too. The price was also very reasonable.

Inexpensive and friendly
I stayed at this hotel for 4 days while visiting Gainesville to check out places for the fall. The place was sometimes noisy and you get what you pay for. It was the cheapest place to stay in Gainesville for a 4 days stay for me. However, I forget my computer monitor in the room and the hotel manger called me afterwards which I thought was a nice touch. Don't expect anything fancy, but I was on a budget and it had free wi-fi so it worked for me.
