Just What We Needed

Perfect peaceful family getaway with our 2 adult children. The two bedroom suite in the main building on the 8th floor was set up nicely- could have used another couch to comfortably accommodate us all- it was a large enough living room! The view was perfect. The beach was great and spacious. We usually go to the Caribbean or Mexico, and after this trip, we prefer going here. The only thing missing is the snorkeling experience in those other areas. But the shells and beach and kayaking on the back bay made up for it.

Great relaxing get-away

We stayed in late April, so it was not overly crowded. The beach is great, but does lack beverage service. Overall, very clean and comfortable.

great hotel!

This place was amazing. Right on the beach, and close to everything you need. Jet ski rentals, boat rentals, and plenty of dolphin sightings. Would highly recommend this place!

A Nice Surprise

We had 4 nights and 3.5 days there. Wish we had had more time. We were on the 7th floor of one of the pvt condo buildings. We could have used something to scrub the pans and a non stick pan for frying up grilled cheese and scrambled eggs would have been nice. Dishwashing soap was very watered down. Refrigerator, even on coldest setting, did not keep beer or soda cold. We put it in the freezer for about an hour and it was then nice and cold. There was no washing machine detergent. Maybe could consider some small sample sizes. Maid service was very good. They were very courteous and professional. Beach was great. Shelling so, so. Weather was chilly and windy, but was fine in the afternoon when the clouds moved out and sun came out. Restaurants for pool side and breakfast were excellent!! We have never given Fort Myers Beach a chance and have usually gone to Captiva or Sanibel, but this place was really nice. Not too much to do in the beachy downtown area. We had three 19 year olds with us and they did para sailing and hobie sailing. They could walk into town, but as they said, no action there.

Terrific vacation experience at the Pink Shell Resort

We had a fabulous experience at the Pink Shell Resort and look forward to returning. The beach and gulf views are spectaculag and the perfect way to relax! The hotel beach was groomed every morning for a perfect clean beach. Shelling for miles is great family fun as were the other water/beach toys the resort offered. The 1-bedroom suite was spacious as it had a full size kitchen with lots of counter space, in-room washer/dryer, lanai w/ 4 chairs and an oversized bath with privacy biff. The beds and pillows were comfortable. Furniture in the main great room area was comfortable however we felt it seemed mismatched and slightly dated. Rooms were quiet. We used the fitness center and were happy it had both strength training and cardio options. The buffet breakfast was amazing as we enjoyed fresh fruit, made to order omelettes and much much more every morning. The popular resort restaurant was busy but waits were minimal -10 minutes or less. Both the front desk and concierage services were very friendly and accommodating. The resort is located a convenient walking distant to the Times Square area /shopping center area of the beach for shopping dining options. Our only disappointment was the size of the multiple swimming pools. All pools are quite small and there were no lap pools. However the deck chairs were comfortable as were the beach chairs oceanside. Live music played pool side Sunday afternoon. The main pool area also featured a mascot dressed in a cat costume that young kids were attracted to and entertained by. The suites were worth the cost however we felt the "common" areas of the hotel were not "luxurious" in decor and seemed to need updating. The entire resort was family friendly, safe, clean and offered the best views on the beach! It's spacious suites rated amongst the top as a comparison to other resorts we have experienced. We definately recommend this resort!
