Luxe Gulf resort welcomes kids
The Pink Shell Beach Resort & Spa boasts a great location at the tip of Estero Island, straddling trendy Naples and laidback Captiva and Sanibel islands. The resort offers a comprehensive vacation experience for parents as well as the kids. An on-site sailing school, drop-off kid's camp, three heated pools, beachfront location and well-equipped villas and cottages make it easy for families to drop anchor and relax at the Pink Shell Beach Resort & Spa.
Pink Shell Beach Resort & Spa Rooms
- One Bedroom White Sand Villa
- New one bedroom luxury condo style room. Spectacular Gulf-front view, one king, sofa bed, kitchen. Located in White Sand Villas building. Max Occ 4. Each offers a separate living and bedroom area with a king bed in the bedroom and a pull out sleeper sofa in the living room. All have a full kitchen, dining area, and stackable washer/dryer combo. Floor to ceiling windows offer a beautiful view of the Gulf of Mexico from the living room and each has a private screened off balcony overlooking the beach. There are no White Sand Villas rooms located on the ground floor.
- Two Bedroom Beach Villa
- Deluxe 2-bedroom condo style room. Gulf-front, one king, two double beds, kitchen. Located in Estero Island Beach Villas building. Renovated 2003. Max Occ 6. Each has two separate bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. There is 1 king bed in the master bedroom and 2 double beds in the guest room. Each has a full kitchen, living room, dining area, washer/dryer and private screened off balcony overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. There are no villas located on the ground floor.
- Deluxe Gulf Front Studio
- Studio with one king or two queen beds. Gulf-front with balcony and kitchenette. Located in Sanibel View Building. Renovated 2003. Max Occ 4. Kitchenette includes a microwave, toaster, mini-refrigerator; ceramic stove cook-top (no oven), coffee maker, dishes and utensils. Private, screened-in balcony offers a direct view of the Gulf of Mexico. There are no studios located on the ground floor.
- Two Bedroom White Sand Villa
- New two-bedroom luxury condo style room. Spectacular gulf-front view, one king, two double beds, and kitchen. Located in White Sand Villas. Max Occ 6. Located in the brand new White Sand Villas opened on March 1, 2004, each offers two separate bedrooms and two full bathrooms. There is one king bed in the master bedroom and two double beds in the guest room. All have a full kitchen, dining area, and stackable washer/dryer combo. Floor to ceiling windows offer a panoramic view of the Gulf of Mexico from the living room and each has a private screened off balcony overlooking the beach. There are no villas located on the ground floor.

Loved Sunny Florida
Everything was perfect!
Everyone on-staff was so friendly & helpful. The location is perfect. We liked that you could go from the pool right outside a gate and be on the beach. The motel is a 15-20 min walk from town; otherwise the trolley has a pick up right in front of the Pink Shell. One day we were on the beach and saw dolphins swimming right in front of the hotel!

Nervous Nellies & Yuchatan's were two very good resturants we found. Yuchatan's offers an early bird special on certain days if you come before 6pm. Great food & atmosphere for a good price.

Great Getaway
The Pink shell is a great getaway. The only complaint I have is that the room cleaning could have been better, specifically the bathtub. I think the value for the money could be improved being the only meal included was breakfast. It would have had better value if dinner was included also. However I was very impressed with how clean and beautiful the resort was maintained and how pleasant the staff was. I would also like to see some nightclub activities/karaoke night incorporated into the resort amenities. The town has a lot to offer in the way of shopping and restaurants. Lot's to see and do close to the resort. I would love to come back with my children and grandchildren next year. I highly recommend this resort; for couples and families.

Great Time
Great location. Only additions to the Pink Shell would be to have a hot tub, night life and newer laundry facilities. Other than that, awesome experience! Breakfast was amazing. Beaches are groomed daily. Highly recommend.

Great family getaway
My kids and I enjoyed our stay at the Pink Shell very much. The rooms are clean and well equipped. The beach is fantastic and the pools are great.

Vacay Everyday
Vacation Time
My family had never been to Fort Myers Beach but had heard great things about it and about Pink Shell. Everything lived up to what we expected! Pink Shell is a really lovely beach resort with nice amenities. The staff was incredibly friendly with the exception of our housekeeper for the week. She was very angry whenever we were still in the room when she wanted to clean it, but it wasn't enough to ruin the experience. Love the view of the pools and the beach from the room! Also, we loved that the balcony is screened in so we could open our sliding doors and enjoy the ocean breeze without worrying about bugs. All around a great time!

Shopping tip:
Short drive from hotel
You'll see signs for Tanger Outlets all around Fort Myers and leading to Fort Myers Beach, but the better outlets are Miromar Outlets. Much better shops and easier to walk through. They're south of Fort Myers, and it's definitely worth the extra 15 minutes in the car.

Good Family Spot
Our choice for the Pink Shell Resort was based on it being family friendly. It was a wonderful beach spot that had a lot to offer both children and adults. We would definately go back.

Pinchers Crab Shack was fairly close and a fun place to eat at. I recommend it if you like seafood at a reasonable price.

Family getaway
