Paradise
We only had short weekend to stay, but it was absolutely perfect! We arrived Friday afternoon, and didn't get back in our car until Sunday afternoon. We ate almost every meal at the cafe, which is reasonably priced and good food. Spent the day floating in the gulf, splashing in the pool, and relaxing on the deck, it really was paradise! We will definitly be going back!!!

Excellent hotel
This was an excellent choice. My friend had stayed here previously & I was very happy. Friendly people, clean rooms, excellent maid service, great Tiki bar with awesome drinks, live music outside 5 days a week, casual restaurant on site. Beach was right there and white sand. I will definitely stay here again. Convenient trolley runs length of the beach daytime for 50 cents. Close to lots of great restaurants.

Beautiful,quiet,relaxing get away.
The hotel was very clean and the Tiki huts gave it that island feel. Everyone was friendly(help and guests) Sunsets were beautiful-only one drawback-such a long walk to the ocean. Beach is very relaxing and the sand so soft under your feet.

Outrigger Beach Resort
Very relaxing, right on the beach with a great tiki bar, pool, and deck. On-site restaurant at reasonable prices. Crowd was a little older, but we were looking for a relaxing vacation as opposed to a week of partying. A few miles from down-town, but the $.50 trolley can take you anywhere on the island.

Money-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
Utilize the trolley service. It's $.50 for a ride virtually anywhere on the island. If you make the connection on the mainland with the bus system (extra $1.25) you can even get to the airport. A bargain compared to the $55 cab fare.

Relaxing,Beachfront with family atmosher
This was on the quiet end of the beach. We loved the peacefulness and went exploring and found good shelling down the beach and almost swam with dolphins they came so close to us as we swam. The 7 eleven across the street was convienient. The afternoon entertainment at the Tiki Bar was enjoyable and the on site restaurant was nice to have with the outdoor seating on the sundeck. Overall we thought this was a great value.

Outrigger Fort myers Fl
Pros and cons by Bianca. I just returned from a 4 night stay in Fort myers at the outrigger resort. This is a honest list of pros and cons of the resort. Pros- Clean rooms, Friendly service, beautyful beach and quiet place. Cons- Bed was beyond to soft, there is plush and there is worn out, the bed would sink to the box spring like a piece of cardboard. No room with king size bed was offered when I booked so I am assuming there wasn't one. The shower was like a drip faucet no water preasure at all. 20 minutes just to wet my hair. I was on the 2nd fl and outside every room there are 2 chairs and an ashtray, I do not smoke and do not really want to walk past people blowing smoke into the air, a smoking area would be much classier. (I am a former smoker)My trip was from may 9 to May 13 so it was not crowded at all. I have to say that I have stayed in some very classy places and am used to getting spoiled. With all that I have to say the resort was a good value for it's price. Clean, quiet and friendly everything else was workable.I spent most of my time fishing,(Fort myers pier) dinning (sweet Tomato in Fort Myers...Excellent place) and swimmming (At Sanibel Beach....A must do and see).I live by the beach in New Jersey and am still blown away on sanibel.

Hot weather never makes me hungry or I would prefer to eat light. It was 94 degrees everyday in Fort Myers during my stay we ate at a place called The Sweet Tomato that I would recommend to everyone for lunch or a light dinner. it is a salad buffet first then a pasta, soup and dessert buffet with some of the best salads ever. my husband is a beef eater and asked if we could go back the next day again...which we did. The price, the food, the staff all excellent.

Very Disappointed
Very disappointed in the "resort"..er, more like motel I should say. Rooms extremely outdated. Mold all over the shower and ants all over the bathroom floor. Absolutely no water pressure in the shower and unless you took a 2minute shower it quickly went to cold water. Called to the front office about this and they were to have someone come fix it the next day..that never happened. Would never stay there again, nor would I recommend this place.
