Affordable close to beach & Times Square
Rooms basic. Nothing fancy, but clean. Grounds very nice with swimming pools & tropical surroundings (plants & trees). Not directly on the beach, but just a short walk. Price compared to gulf front hotels, well worth the walk. Private areas for grilling and playing cards with friends. Tiki bar on grounds lots of fun. We booked 2 rooms booked through [...](paid in advance). When we went to check in we had no reservation! It was Christmas eve & I feared we would not have a room. [...]at the front desk apologized (for [...] lack of communication) and did not hesitate to give us keys and upgraded us to suites, even though it was not the hotel's mistake. He just asked that we contact [...]to have them contact the hotel so that they would get reimbursed.

Fort Myers Florida is a great weekend getaway spot, and the Lighthouse Resort and Inn is a great place to stay. The staff was friendly and the rooms were spacious and clean. [...] I ever need a place to stay in Fort Myers, I will be staying the the Lighthouse Resort Inn and Suites.

Fun hotel with a great location.
Our group of friends really enjoyed the location of the hotel and its proximity to other venues, restaurants, shops, and the beach. We walked everywhere and it was such a breeze. The Tiki Bar and pool make for an enjoyable evening where you can easily make new friends. The hotel staff was super responsive and accommodating-[...]. They helped us out in a snap and made us feel at home.

The getaway!
We really didn't have a lot of time...but we did go out to eat at some restaurants that were really close by...like at the resort and a block away!Everything was right there.The beach was right out the door! Our room was not that bad...the only problem we had was the maid service...they came to our door and told them to come back later...they never did! And 3am a bunch of people that were a little drunk were in the pool that was right outside our room. I'd go back there again. The price was great and my room was upgraded when I checked in!

Those old folks can party!
Our room was much better than I was expecting for the price, plus it was very clean. The location is great...right across the street from Times Square and the beach. The island trolley also stops right outside. It's close to the highway, but you can't hear it given that the rooms all face an interior courtyard. The courtyard is really nice with bamboo and palm trees, a swimming pool and the tiki bar. I enjoyed the tiki bar, but those silverbacks were partying pretty hard pretty late into the night. It didn't bother me, but you're not going to find peace and quiet here.

The island has a trolley/bus that runs the length of it for 50 cents. The Route 50 bus from the airport connects to the trolley. In short, if you're flying in, don't bother renting a car.

Great facilities, but noisy
The Lighthouse is a fine place to stay if you don't mind being in the middle of a noisy bar. The rooms are clean, up to date and well maintained. The staff friendly and attentive, the price is good. The only serious issue is the noise from the bar which is in the center of the main part of the hotel, all of the rooms face the bar. If you are looking to go to sleep early, you may want to find someplace else as the party in the bar goes till 1 or 2 AM, be it football games, live music or karaoke. Earplugs help. If you're there for the party, then it's a great place to stay. There is a second building that is away from the bar and I suspect the noise isn't an issue there.

Lots of potential
A nice place to have a reunion with the family. Had a place for the kids to play in the pool and the beach across the street. Had great entertainment. [...] at check in was super nice had a very warm welcome. Food was good . Now for the less than what I thought we should have had to deal with. The cleaning of the room was not acceptable. bathroom floor was dirty . Chairs at the kitchen table were disgusting. I would not sit on them until I put a towel over them. The furniture on the balcony was a disgrace ! I dont believe I will go back and stay there due to the unkept unclean rooms. I understand the economy certainly is hurting the ability to do routine upgrades but this is a hotel and cleanliness is of the utmost importance.

Great Location Rooms Very Run Down
I stayed at this hotel several years ago, and it was wonderful! Unfortunitly, I don't think they have spent a penny on keeping it up. There was no cover plate on the wall socket, the light bulb socket was snapped off and hanging on the lamp, and the rugs were absolutly disgusting!

Just Beachy
Great location with awesome Tiki Bar!
Our room was very large...king suite with full kitchen and large bathroom. Could use a little updating, but very nice for the price! Awesome Tiki Bar with live entertainment and large menu choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner. 5 minute walk to a beautiful beach. Lots of shops and restaurants in walking distance.
