Room terrible, hotel location fantastic, TiKi Hut fantastic
Room #139 awful---located on top of the Maintenance Garage and Housekeeping Headquarters. Every morning siding doors on an old iron track were opened and shut, opened and shut, opened and shut---you should get the idea now. Maintenance workers came to work early each morning: one morning they ran the table saw, spliting bamboo timbers, one morning they ran a grinder to smooth up the bamboo timbers. Maintenance's golf carts, tools, workbench, stacks of window air-conditioners,etc.----everything workers need, was kept in this garage. Every morning all the maids collected at the bottom of our stairs to put their cleaning supplies on their cleaning carts (the cleaning supplies were also kept under our room). The restaurant kitchen was also under our room. Our room was old, old, old and hadn't been remodeled since approximately 1950; old carpet, kitchen area a disaster with anctient stove, bed sagged badly in the middle.

Great Location

Location, fun ammenities
Our family has stayed here twice. Both times it was great fun. Very short walk to all that's great about Fort Myers Beach. Nice pools, tiki bar with fun people, grills for cooking out, kitchen for cooking in, lanai for lounging at your room, covered outdoor areas for cards, picnic or just relaxing and the grounds are beautiful. Some rooms can be noisy if near the fun tiki bar.

Good place for fun
Nice location close to beach. Tiki bar food great, prices surprisingly cheap. Room was dated but clean. Good nightlife, walking distance to good places.

Pleasantly Surprised!
I was thrilled to find this. It was clean and smelled fresh. The location couldn't be better, it's a block from everything you could wish for! The staff was great! We spent Super Bowl Sunday there. Even the locals were recommending the Tiki Bar here to watch the game. What better endorsement than the locals that work at other places. Price was terrific value for the place, space, and location! Can't be beat for the price by far! I'm from FMB, my mom lives around the corner... we were all thrilled! IT was a blast!

Not on a bet
Music way too loud will keep you up half the night. in your room.IF your a a heavy drinker and like to party and dont care about noise. this is your place. IF YOU HAVE A FAMILY STAY AWAY. Too loud, too many drunken adults and no parking at all. Parking lot for guests gets filled up by all the people going to the bar by the pool.

Perfect Location
I was visiting Ft. Myers to photograph a wedding on the beach. I chose Lighthouse for it's prime location and the onsite tiki bar. The room was nice and more than met my needs, although the kitchen and bathroom areas were a little dated and "beat up" and the water in the bathroom sink didn't drain very well. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and overall I was very pleased with my stay and would stay here again.

Convenient Location
Great tropical atmosphere, tiki bar, pool, and within a short walk to the Gulf of Mexico. Nothing less than what I expected from a beach resort.

Can't get much closer to restaurants, shopping, and the Beach...it was well worth saving a few bucks to stay across the street.
