Lighthouse Resort Inn and Suites

Great location - perfect for the beach. Great price. The room wasn't in great shape, but fine for my purposes.

Day one - Refrigerator (if you wanna call it that) didn't work. Freezer was big enough for ice tray... part of refrigerator. There was only one pot and one pan. Had to ask for more. Bathroom had slotted wood door and was next to living room. After complaining, got moved to queen room (from king). It was along the outside of the complex, next to the bridge/road going in and out of Ft. Myers beach. Decent refrigerator/freezer, so that was a step up. And a solid door on the bathroom was a step up, too. Both rooms were run down, to say the least. Hotel front desk was not real understanding, though they did give us the first night free (after call to booking company). My guess is the room was not one of the nicer ones because we got it as part of a package deal. I will never go back to this place. A real shame

The room smelled of mold and mildew and and carpet was disgusting. Also, the room description stated there was a sofa in the room although there was none.

we have been to the light house a few times.Its a good place for a great price. the kids really enjoyed the waterfall pool. a couple got married on their balcony and there were party people of all ages and countries that weekend

The location was perfect. We could walk every where, which I enjoy. We even walked across the bridge to go to Doc Ford's for dinner. The Tiki bar was hoppin & the music was fun. The hotel is old but our room was updated & had a frig which is always nice. For a weekend getaway it was perfect. The rate for the location was very fair.

The lay out of the room was an obstacle course. As you entered you had to dodge left to avoid the stuffed chair then dodge left to avoide the mini table and chairs. The older model giant tv was sitting almost in the middle of the floor and only picked up maybe 10 channels. My biggest gripe is that in their description that state that they have wi-fi. They DO NOT have wi-fi except for next to the bar, outdoors in the 100 degree weather. The clerk said they were going to have wi-fi available to the rooms one of these days. I ended up hauling my computer and accessories a few blocks over to McDonalds. We weren't there but 1/2 hour when I saw a giant cockroach skitter across the bricks surrounding the pool. The carpeting looked to be extremely stained and possibly dirty. We kept our clothing in our suitcases and when we got home sorted clothing outside and brought them in to the washer one load at a time. We also fumigated the suitcases, shoes, etc. The pool looked a dirty dark color and was filled 24 - 7 with what appeared to be unsavory characters ... smoking and chugging beer the whole time they were IN the pool. I didn't see a one leave to take a "potty" break. One Exception: The maids were wonderful.

The two bedroom/ two bath kitchenette was ideal for a long weekend with three grandchildren. The beach is just across the street, as well as fishing pier and many restaurants and shops. Only "complaint" was that hot water was iffy.

I came down from the North East with my boyfriend and we were staying with a friend in Estero. After 4 nights of golf, poolside drinking, and fancy restaurants, I decided to explore a more lively area (in regards of nightlife) with my boyfriend for the last night of the trip. We were unfamiliar with the Fort Myers Beach area, and found the environment a little too sketchy for comfort. The room in the hotel was large enough, and came with a full fridge and stove. The Tiki Bar was great and some of the surrounding restaurants were also ok (namely the beached whale). The hotel promised everything it advertised; however, I will most likely not be venturing from Estero/Naples back to Fort Myers Beach any time soon.

The room & location was good I'm a local & was very dissatisfied with the way the front staff talked & treated people at check in or just when any questions were asked not 1 but 2 different employees. My last day their was the only time they had someone nice. Some of the other staff was ok but the bartenders at the Tikki Bar had its moments that they were rude to. I would stay again because of the location & atmosphere if the front staff improves or changes.
