The Perfect Place for a Beach Wedding
We recently held our wedding and reception dinner at the Lani Kai. Throughout the entire process, Jennah was nothing but helpful and pleasant. On the day of the wedding she literally took care of everything. Because of Jennah and the other staff at the Lani Kai my husband and I had the beach wedding of our dreams. The food was fantastic and the service was amazing. I won't lie... some of the reviews had us worried but we couldn't have been happier with our decision to get married at the Lani Kai. I highly recommend the Lani Kai for your beach wedding!

Unlivable
This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at in my entire life. I would not recommend using this website for making hotel reservations based on my experience. This is not a hotel but a an unlivable space with a view of Fort Myers Beach. I cannot say enough to describe the terrible conditions and lack of cleanliness at this location. This website should be ashamed for having this listed on their website.

Spring Break 2013
Location Location Location older hotel but ok for comfort but view from balcony great food very good staff cool now it is loud because it's a party place with bars and entertainment but if you are young or young at heart you will enjoy RBEHOKIE

Party much?
If you like to party, this is the hotel for you. The rooms look and feel like they haven't been touched since 1972. The location of this hotel is incredible. It just FEELS like you will have crabs crawling on you for weeks. For the price, it's great. If you are going with "the guys," it's great. Do not take your wife there hoping for romance. It's dirty.

For the young and young at heart ONLY!
The beach location was ideal and the view was fabulous. Loved having a beachfront balcony which all the rooms have. Pool was never crowded and was well kept. The "entertainment" from the Policemen who did the daily beach show was always fun and pretty good. HOWEVER, the rooms, beds, pillows, bath, refridgerater, etc. etc., etc. were ALL VERY disappointing. Everything was OLD and worn out. Our toilet started spraying water. After maintenance fixed it, we washed out hands and then the faucet got stuck in the ON position and we had to call maintenance AGAIN! The hotel is making enough money ... everyone should start asking them to spend some on updates!

Beautiful location and view
We were initially given a room directly over the top of the bar and the music and noise was unbearable. Then in the morning the shower did not work. We went to the front desk and were immediately moved to a different room that was much nicer and farther away from the noise. The front desk people were very accomodating. The view and location are unbeatable.

Unexpected surprises
When we arrived at midnight, there was a fight going on in the parking lot. We checked in and went to our room. The door was ajar when we arrived so I went in first to make sure it was safe. Here it had been open all day. To get our room cleaned, we had to call the desk to remind them each day. Very noisy at night till outdoor bar closed at 2:00 a.m. For college kids, great but for families, a nightmare. Paint peeling so badly in tubs we could only shower. Lock on sliding glass door would not lock. Got that fixed on day 2. Very disappointed considering that my wife who had just had surgery and was supposed to relax and couldn't.

For a young crowd, the hotel was the place to be. Many contests going on during the day and loud partying at night. Fun for Spring Break singles.

It was Spring Break,Great location A party hotel,just what we where looking for!If your looking for a new and quiet hotel this is NOT it,if your looking for fun on the beach this IS it.

for under 35 only
it would be ok for young couple or young single. wall to wall people on beach. band playing weekends. Smoke detector did not work we had to change rooms. We were on the far end of the hotel and steal herd the band and the crowd till 2 am.

DIRT ROCKERS DRUNKS AND THEIVES
[...]THE HOTEL HAD NOT BEEN REMODELED SINCE 1982 AND WHEN THE DID THE REMODEL THEY USED THE CHEAPEST MATERIALS THEY COULD FIND MOST LIKELY LEFT OVER FROM OTHER PROJECTS NOTHING MATCHED THE FRONT DOOR FRAME WAS ROTTED AND THE SCREWS WERE BACKING OUT FROM THE BOTTOM HINGE THE SECURITY LOCK ON THE DOOR WAS USELESS THE WAY THE FRAM WAS ROTTED THE MATRESS FELT LIKE IT WAS STUFFED WITH STRAW THE BATHROOM WINDOW HAD A PEICE OF PVC PIPE WEDGED IN IT SO NOBODY COULD BREAK IN [...] THE TILE WAS NEVER SEALED OR CLEANED THERE WERE SEVERAL PEICES THAT WERE BROKEN OR MISSING AT THE SLIDING GLASS DOOR GOING ON TO THE BALCONY THE SLIDING GLASS DOOR WAS HARD TO OPEN THE CARPET FELT LIKE IT WAS COVERED WITH SUNTAN OIL POPCORN WAS FALLING OFF THE CEILING THE ELEVATOR WAS THE SLOWEST IN THE WORLD AND LETS NOT FORGET THE CLIENTEL [...]
