Holiday Inn FORT MYERS BEACH

What confuses me is that Holiday Inn Express hotels offer more than a major Holiday Inn. There was NO business center (computer use) NO snack vending machines, NO shop to purchase candy bars, toothpaste, asprin.....we were told to walk down to CVS. Had to phone a friend to print and fax over my boarding pass and borrow an asprin from a neighboring customer. The hotel rooms were very nice and location was excellent. If they catered to their customers with ameneties we are use to from smaller chains it would have been perfect.

We were very pleased with our accommodations at this hotel. The room was very clean, extremely comfortable beds and pillows (had both soft and firm), fantastic pool (warm enough), and staff was very helpful when their assistance was needed. Tiki Bar had a fun atmosphere with live band some nights, and the food there was out of this world. Had the blackened grouper one night and Texas BBQ ribs another night. Both were extremely delicious. I'm not a coleslaw fan, but theirs was the best I've ever had. This 2-floor hotel is nestled between high rises. Our room was on the first floor, and it was very nice to be able to just walk out the door into a pretty courtyard with a couple of water fountains. The beach was a short walk from our room, which was very beautiful. We liked the location, because it was far enough down from the extremely busy, congested part of Estero Boulevard. If you like it busier, then I would recommend staying at one of the hotels in that area, because it is too far to walk from this hotel. There is a bus service that you can use to take you down that way for a nominal fee; but in heavy traffic, you could probably walk there quicker. There was a strip mall with different shops, a post office, and a small fresh produce stand in the parking lot. Next to the mall was a reputable store/pharmacy where you could get most things and souvenirs, too. We would definitely stay here in the future when visiting Ft. Myers Beach.

as expected from a Ft Myers beach hotel. Not very clean but the Tiki bar is cool and the beach is beutiful. Overall not a bad place for the price.

Staff was welcoming and friendly. Enjoyed the pool and especially the poolside service.

clean room good dining room and Tiki Bar good beach under construction...heavy equipment at 7AM on Saturday morning......definitly a bad thing!!! could have waited until 9AM.... No business office to print boarding passes..

The last week in Seeptember and the weather was a wonderful 90 degrees. Very low tourist traffic. Great beach, though the water is a short but pleasant walk. The room was clean. the bed was comfortable but the air conditioner was extreamly loud. We had to turn the TV volume up and down with the air conditioner cycles. Also be warned that theere is a live band on Sat and Sunday that Sounds as if they are on the balcony just outside the door. Good location for things to do and places to eat. The hotel has good food. I would go again but then agan I am hard of hearing.

This Holiday Inn was well run, clean, but was quite a walk from the beach. It was better than staying closer to downtown Ft. Myers Beach. FMB is noisy, and very busy. As I was looking for a relaxing vacation, I found this area GREAT. The weather cooperated too. I would probably stay here next timeT

Great Staff, huge pool, nice beach but a hike, great tiki bar w/ good food, blackened Mahi was excellent. Rooms clean but a little small due to hotel age.

Hotel was great! It is located right on the beach and 300 feet from the water. Area is quiet and away from the crowds and partying. Great location for families or those that want a relaxing environment.

We had a family emergency. [...]and Holiday Inn couldn't have been more understanding. We will not travel again without going through [...].The proximity to the beach was great. The entertainment was wonderful. The restaurant served a great breakfast along with the gift voucher from Holiday Inn.
