Worst Motel Ever!

Would not recommend Thu, Feb 4, 2016
I've stayed in some marginal motels before, but honestly Travel Lodge Ft. Meyers could not have been worse. When we entered our room it was dirty, un-swept and with extensive red stains (lipstick?) in the grout of the floor tiles. The beds were constructed of 2x8 frames, sitting on the floor, with 3/4 plywood on top, and a headboard nailed to the wall! There were no mattress skirts to attempt to hide this. The blankets we received had cigarette holes burned in them. When we asked for new blankets, these (can you guess?) had the same problem. Two of the bureau drawers were crooked as they sat in the bureau. We were in a building in the back of the motel, with entry through a back stairway in a somewhat isolated area of the parking lot. The door into the stairwell from the outside did not lock, and the door into the hallway was permanently propped open with a block of wood. Security? Ha. One morning when we went out at 5 AM we found two people sleeping in the hallway! Fortunately they were polite as we stepped over them to leave. I am not making any of this up, it was honestly the worst possible motel situation. They say you get what you paid for? Not even.

It was fine. The front counter woman seemed overwhelmed when I got there.

Family trip

Would not recommend Mon, Aug 24, 2015
First off the hotel was extremely dirty. Blankets were dirty, bathroom, floor, also every towel in the place had something on it. So I couldnt even take a shower if I wanted. I called the manager and she blamed me for it???? So I checked out after only being in the room literally 55 minutes.. never again!!!!

Awful Hotel

Would not recommend Tue, Jul 21, 2015
This hotel was absolutely horrible! First, we booked a non-smoking room and the room we received smelled of smoke. Secondly, there were ants in our room! The ants were in our food that we boxed up, in our clothes, and in our beds! The front office did nothing but bring $4.00 bug spray to our room. They didn't offer to move us or give us our money back. Thirdly, there were dogs barking loudly on our floor! This hotel apparently allows dogs to stay on a floor with non-dog owners. Lastly, the customer service was horrendous. The front desk staff acted as if the ants weren't there problem. They have shady employees walking around and you can't tell if they are really employees. This one guy wore a tank top to work. I will never, ever book this hotel again and I suggest many people do not book here!

Very disappointed

Would not recommend Tue, Jul 14, 2015
I came on a night that was sold out. When I checked in the man at the desk was efficient but not really nice. When I went up the stairs to my room the rug was stained and had a wet smell. When I got to my room the door was opened but no one was inside. Then I realized the towels were really rough and had holes the blanket had mold growing on it and the air condition put out a foul smell. Since there were sold out there was no where else for me to put me and they just gave me air freshener. N the towels in my room were never replace... I didn't even spend the night

Nice surprise

We were hesitant about staying here, but are happy to report that we had a good experience. The room was clean and quiet. The wing we were in had been recently remodeled. Staff was very nice. Plan to stay again this month.

Comfortable overnight stay

Would recommend Tue, May 26, 2015
The hotel staff were nice. The exterior of the hotel was clean and so was the lobby. The pool area was kept up and had chairs, tables and umbrellas. The room was comfortable. The room just had a slight smell that was tolerable but needs to be taken care of. The a/c took a while to cool the room down but after a while it was fresh in there

Family emergency

Would recommend Thu, May 14, 2015
I work in the hospitality business and I know labor cost food cost roi's etc. but what my pet peeve is cleanliness.it was average. The bed sheet had burnt marks most likely from cigarettes. The door knob on the inside was broken so trying to getout of the room was challenging. Some other things were a little inconvenient that I won't mention. But I'm sure a simple prep list of to dos would have taken care of it. But in all I got what I paid for. But if I believed that than I would never be in the service industry. But I would recommend this place but advise to challenge the hotel employees to correct its problem.
