Hidden Fees

The hotel is located on the beach with nice grounds and the rooms were cool, clean with little deferred maintenance. The screened in porch with hooks for drying bathing suits was a nice plus. We were in a room with 2 queen beds, small table with 4 chairs, small refrigerator, K-cup coffee maker (had to ask for more coffee at the front desk as they don't really re-stock it). The building overlooked the pool with limited ocean views from the first floor, and it wasn't too bad in terms of noise-but it is off season. The pool area is nice, they have a decent number of chairs and water toys for kids, and the beach had some chairs and umbrellas, but not a lot. Nice beach with lots of small shells and tons of sand dollars about 20' out. The day of departure, the maids started knocking at 9:30 to make sure we would be out of the room at 11:00 - despite the do not disturb card, which I find very irritating. We booked a package that gave us a $35 daily credit at the resort/hotel, but nobody said anything to us at check-in, and it was only when we asked about a late check out that they told us about this credit. We picked out some stuff from the gift shop, but then upon check out were informed of a "Package Plan" fee of $12.00 per day plus tax! Nothing on the reservation referenced extra fees, so I wasn't happy about that. We didn't try any of the restaurants, only checked out towels for the beach. I would stay here again, but now I know about the hidden fees.

Nice Getaway

This was a nice place to spend the weekend. The room was clean and conformable and the location to the beach was excellent. The only comment I would have was the food was tasty however quite pricy. Very relaxing and enjoyable weekend!

JUST WHAT WE NEEDED!

Everything was top notch, staff was excellent for the most part, especially about lost items. We did occasionally have to get items housekeeping forgot but overall the service was great and the room kept clean. Loved the beach location and shelling. We both got to totally relax and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. Early on we started talking about not if we come back but when! Highly recommend this place for a relaxing vacation. JoAnn Miller

Buy some of your alcohol at Publix in Ft. Myers as well as cereal, milk and snacks. Split some meals at restaurants - portions are generally large.

Everything you need for a comfortable stay....

This Inn had a great location and an easy drive from the airport. It is nestled into the landscape of palms and other tropical vegetation. My room was clean and updated. Loved the kitchenette area with the refrigerator and microwave. The screened in porch/balcony was a great place to have a light meal or cocktails while overlooking the pool and beach. The tiki bar adds a nice touch for an afternoon drink or a lunch break from the beach. Take advantage of their bicycles for use on the miles of bike paths throughout the island. It was a great way to see some local sights.

Be sure to visit "Jerry's" shops. The grocery store there was a great idea to stock up on lunch food, snacks and drinks to keep in your room for those times you just prefer to "eat in".

Island fun

The only thing that upset me about this hotel was that the towels, beach chairs, umbrellas, bikes and kayaks were included with the Inn. But at checkout, I had to pay $66.00 for all of those and for that reason, I will not go back there.

Great place to relax

We loved this place; it's right on the beach. We had a suite that had a Living Room with TV and a small fridge, and a separate bedroom. The buildings are arranged in a semi-circle so that most of the rooms have at least a partial view of the beach and all the rooms are a short walk to the beach, the pool, and the Tiki Bar (don't miss Happy Hour). Plus, they give you a credit based on the number of nights you stay which you can use at the Tiki Bar (great) or restaurant (so-so). The outside staff is great; they'll set you up on the beach with lounge chairs and an umbrella. We would go back.

Gone downhill

We experienced this Inn several years ago and it was great. This time... not so good. Room wasn't that clean when we arrived. Housekeeping did a spotty, at best, job the entire week. 3 days of the 6 we had to call for towels. On one of these days we called 3 times. We also had specifically called the front desk to make sure the room was cleaned on our last day. It never did get cleaned. Upon using the washer and dryer, we found rust in both. Upkeep at this hotel has not been to the standard it should have been. When we return to the Island we will find other accommodations.
