Not happy with front desk

I get to the hotel around 4:00pm i had called earlier that morning around 11:00am to confirm my reservation i had spoken to 2 different people about my room.. i get to the room and had 2 beds not 1 king like i had inquired about. when i got there the gentlemen told me sorry we are sold out. i had told him i had called and he said he did not have any notes.. even thought i called twice.. he said i could move you for an extra charge to the other building... i said NO THANK YOU!! I ALREADY HAD PAY ENOUGH.. NOT HAPPY WITH THE FROM DESK.. NOT HELPFUL AT ALL..

Exquisite Sunsets

Our room in the Sanibel Tower ha a western exposure, overlooking the water. Watching the sunset was really something wonderful. This hotel is a Marriott; pretty much an okay room except that there was very little lighting. There was one big lamp on the table between the two bids. It gave out light but if one person wanted to read, it was impossible to do so without disturbing another party. Reading lamps over the headboard or attached to the headboard would solve this problem. If you returned to the hotel and wanted to self-park, there was never any parking available. In a hotel of this size, there should be ample parking provided. In the lobby, the smell of the pizza baking in the bar was absolutely nauseating.

Very nice place

It sure is a nice place. The concierge was more interested in getting me to have dinner at one of the hotel's restaurants than guiding me to a nice place in town.

Watch for Hidden Fees

Hotel was great, staff super nice but 12.00 to self park and 15 resort fee on top of the costs was too much. I hate the additional fees. You never know the full price

Hidden Fees

Nice people, good service and nice view but note the hidden fees for parking and using the pools at over 28.00 per day. I didn't plan for that and it was not mentioned on my Booking

Relaxing beach trip

We had a great experience at the Sanibel Harbour Marriot REsort. They upgraded us to a water view room at no charge when we checked in. It was such a beautiful view from the balcony - we could even see the sun set from bed! The pool was phenomenal and we had a relaxing stay. Would definitely stay with them again.

Perfect 4 night getaway

I booked this hotel because it looked nice on line and was pretty close to Captiva, where my sister got married. (My sister's wedding was the reason for our vacation). The food and drink prices was a little on the high side but we didn't mind too much because it was just me and my husband. The location and views of the harbour were great!

Money-saving tip: Short drive from hotel

If you like to drink take about a mile drive up the street to the "Publix" grocery store and buy your own beer along with a cooler to put in your room. Doing this will save on your bar bill:)

A long weekend in order to chill out

The only fault we could find (not even a fault for some) is that the hotel is not on a beach. Apart from that it was close to perfect. Our room (no extra was paid) was on 8th floor with west view (think sunsets!) and overlooking the larger of the two pools. One delight was being up with the osprey who were numerous and enjoying flying on the thermals. The spa was particularly enjoyable with low lights and sweet smells and a special mention must go to the staff who were all they should be without being obsequious in any way. We'll go back!

Exciting Excursion to the Sunshine State

We had a delightful stay. Our room was great, overlooking Sanibel Bay. It was a quiet hotel that was nice to get back to at the end of a busy day. Staff was very friendly.

Don't go during spring break. Sanibel Island was very busy and we also ran into heavy traffic in Ft. Meyers.
