Unbeatable location for the price
The staff was friendly and accomodating. The location at the Sanibel Causeway was perfect as our aim was to explore Sanibel and Captiva.

Missing FL
"My little getaway"
The hotel is located in a great spot. It was a short drive to Sanibel and to Ft. Myers Beach. It was nice to have the gym and the lounge there - all though I was bummed that the lounge was closed on Mon. night. The breakfast in the morning was good. It has everything I needed and I have some great memories from there...:)I needed some time alone to relax and unwind and this was a good spot.

The godd, the bad, and really ugly
We specified a Non-Smoking room, and when we checked in, there were none available. Staff was not apologetic, nor willing to do anything for us to accomodate our request. For the price, I guess we got what we paid for........certainly no more. Unfriendly, not helpful staff.

This was an older hotel with a great location and huge pool. Sometimes the neighboring guests were noisy and the walls were "thin". The staff were accommodating. Overall we would stay again.

beautiful location
The Quinta in Ft. Myers is right on the way to Sanibel and close to Ft. Myers Beach, so for us it was perfectly located. The rooms were clean and the staff was helpful. Because of some pool accident somewhere else in the state, the beautiful pool was not available to us. Also they do not use holiday hours for breakfast for Christmas, so we missed it one day. But we would definitely return to this place.

Good location
We stayed at the hotel during december and the location was perfect for the beach. The hotel pool and spas where closed during our stay, so thank heavens for the beach!

Close to Sanibel & Captiva Island
La Quinta Inn AND Suites Ft Myers Sanibel Gateway, Fort Myers, Florida was a great location. It was just down the street from Sanibel & Captiva Island; as well as, Fort Meyers Beach. We used the swimming pool, hot tub & exercise room. Got some good tips on local restaurants.

Nice relaxing
My first impressions were it looks nice outside and inside matched. Cons: The bathroom had no exhaust fan and the room next door (non smoking ) was smoking and it filled my room with smoke smell. Electrical outlet by sink non grounded. trim at base of tub on tile floor was missing. Pros: clean, quite, great pool & outside areas, bar layout. WIFi in lobby and bar good could not locate in room for wired hookup? Over all will stay ther again.

Off Peak Travel
I stayed at this hotel with my girlfriend in October 2008. The rates at this time of year are amazing as not many tourists are traveling to Florida. The layout of the hotel is different, with a couple of separated buildings housing the rooms. All in all, I would stay here again.
