La Quinta Inn & Suites Ft Myers Sanibel Gateway

Enjoyed a very pleasant stay at this particular La Quinta. The location was unbelievable for the price, it was situated very close to both Fort Myers Beach and Sanibel Island. Rooms were very nice, property was well kept, and the pool was great. Continental breakfast was unbelievable, but expect to wait to get your food. Highly recommended this La Quinta location for just about any type of traveler.

We loved the location and the pool! This La Quinta is just a couple of miles from the Sanibel causeway, our destination. It is also conveniently situated between a gas station and the Publix supermarket shopping plaza (which also had a salon, Subway sandwich shop, Chinese restaurant, etc). Did I mention the Tanger outlet shopping across the street? We really loved the pool. My third-grader played in the pool while I warmed up in the large hot tub (attached right to the pool- zoom in and see it on Google maps). We were also big fans of the free breakfast. We ate waffles, yogurt, fresh fruit, toast, coffee, cereal, and hard-boiled eggs every morning from 6AM - 9AM. Everyone on staff we encountered was friendly and helpful. We'll definitely stay here again when we visit the Fort Myers - Sanibel area.

we had a bad experience with the guests next to us tey had two dogs and they would leave for most of the day and the dogs would bark nonstop informed the service desk twice and nothing was done woud never stay at this hotel again

The breakfast buffet was good but it was crowded at times and sometimes there was a wait for it to be restocked. The pool was clean and very warm and the hot tub was clean and very comfortable. We asked for a wakeup call on the last day and did not get it, luckily the girls I was traveling with had alarms on their cells phones. We did not deal with the front desk much. The maid service was just okay not anything special sometimes they did not stock everything in the rooms. An example is no bag for the ice bucket not enough cups or enough towels. The room was too small and very warm. The beds did not work out too well. There was one king size bed and a pull out couch. The three teenage girls had to sleep in the king size bed and me(the adult) had to sleep on the pull out couch. It was close to the beach, shopping, places to eat. We did have to go to the lobby and get all of the information ourselves.

We spent a lot of time at the Beaches. Sanibel, Fort Myers and Bonita beach. The islands were beautiful and clean. If you like sea shells Sanibel is the place to be.The wild life there is awesome. A great place to take the family on a laid back vacation. My family enjoyed the stay.

The location of the hotel was perfect. We were just few miles from several popular locations. I think that the best part of the whole room was the bed. It was so comfortable!!!! We will definatly stay here again

loved the pool. Breakfast was crowded and boring. coffee only available in morning in lobby, I like the breakfast and coffee and cookies better at Hampton Inn. No vending machines except for soda.

Shower was difficult to regulate. Upon notificatiom staff responded and problem was addressed, and inmproved somewhat.

Site seeing and looking for a house

When we arrived they wre overbooked and we were sent to another hotel that was really nice. [...] The next day I called at 10 am and was told we had a room and could check in at 1 pm. Well we went on to having fun and realized that the soonest we would return would be in the evening. When I called at 7 pm, the desk clerk could not seem to find us in the computer system and put us on hold. After holding for 3-4 minutes I called back and was put on hold again. Finally I found out we had a room.
