Fantastic SW Florida base
Chose hotel to explore Fort Myers and Naples for 2 days. Covenient and comfortable base for both. Staff were very helpful and loved the studio suites with all that was needed for self catering. Particularly liked "The Cupboard" where you could help yourself to more tea or coffee and creamer or buy food for simple meals. Free laundry and gym and pool if wished. Would definitely recommend and choose Candlewood Suites again.

Satisfied
The hotel was a short drive from Ft.Myers main drag,& the causways that enter Sanibel. For the pkg. price,(of hotel & car),you couldn't do better."Not complaining",but, their pool is outdoors,& the air conditioning is a little loud.'Still, unless you want to pay for a luxury room, where you won't be spending much time anyway, this joint's OK. Excellent Hotel for the price!
This hotel is located just a few minutes from two great beaches (Sannibel and Ft Myers Beach). We love to visit both beaches so it's idea for the price. Nice new rooms, big refrigerator, stove, microwave, free washer/dryers in the laundry room and if no one else is using them there's 3 or 4 washers and 3 or 4 dryers! The kids loved it. There's a wildlife pond in the back with two small alligators you can see (very safe! the kids liked it). Easy to get to anything you need groceries, pharmacy, food, beaches. VERY SAFE area tucked away in a business development. Very new! I would go there again without hesitation and I'm picky. I would give it a 5 if they had a hot tub and continental breakfast. That's the only two things missing on our stay. Excellent service/friendly workers!!!

Great Stay for Spring training and Beach
This location was a bit tricky to find, tucked back off the highway, but the GPS found it great. Fantastic rooms, great desk help, and easy to get to both Sanibel and Fort Myers Beaches. Only 10 minutes from Minnesota Twins spring training facility and only 20 to the airport. Overall a great stay with no hassles!!!

Hotel Review
Loved the location and everything about the hotel. The only thing we didn't love were the 2 double beds in the room instead of 2 queen size beds. Very helpful staff, superbly clean, enjoyed having kitchen utinsils in the room. Easy access to beaches. Would stay there again.

Excellent value
We recently spent four days at this Candlewood Suites and it greatly exceeded our expectations. We were traveling up Florida's west coast and wanted to spend a few days exploring Sanibel Island but did not want to pay the price to actually stay on the island. This was a wonderful alternative: two left turns out of the hotel parking lot and you are at the causeway in 5 to 10 minutes. It was such an easy commute. We were also impressed with the room. It was very new and clean. We rented a studio suite which had one queen bed, a decent size flat screen TV, a desk, and a small kitchen that had a full size refrigerator, a sink, a two-burner stove, a coffee maker, a microwave, and enough pots, pans, dishes and silverware. There was a supermarket (Publix) just a mile up the road so we were able to do coffee and breakfast in our own room and also had the option to eat-in anytime that we did not feel like going to a restaurant. This was a wonderful option as well as a money-saver. It was so nice to only go out to a restaurant when we wanted to instead of having to 3 times a day. The hotel's surroundings were also nice. This is always my biggest concern when making a reservation online. The pictures on the website can look very nice but you have no idea what the surrounding area looks like. They can easily choose not to show the highway overpass right beside the place or the vacant lots, the industrial areas, the blight or anything else that may make the place feel dirty or unsafe. On one side of the hotel is a well-manicured professional office development which is what you drive through to get there. On the other side is a school and community recreation area. All that you really see from the parking lot are some basketball courts and a ball field. The entire area felt very safe. If you are looking for a full service hotel with a nice restaurant, turn-down service, or any other amenities then this place is not for you. There is no restaurant. There is a small self-service store that has sandwiches, drinks and some basic groceries, but it was really expensive so we opted to go to Publix. There was however a gym with some basic equipment, free washers and dryers, free wi-fi, and a small but clean and well-maintained outdoor pool. If you are looking for any type of luxury or pampering you will want to look elsewhere. If you are, however, looking for a clean decent place to stay in a nice neighborhood that is convenient to Sanibel Island or Fort Myers Beach, I would highly recommend this place. You are not on the beach or near anyplace that you can walk to so will definitely need a car. But as long as you have one, the drive is short and easy.
